Not pulling for Xianyun because I know the moment I kill a crane for a chicken drumstick she's gonna kick my ass.

I can think of so many more efficient and more proactive ways to spend 50k than to put it on a softcore por/n video of a looney toon version of myself with a favorite character....... .. My brothers in Christ, we are losing our way. We must get back on track.

Hugo stares out to the landscapes of Fontaine without a thought as he awaits for his honored guest with hands behind his back. He trusted his men capable enough to secure her so he wasn't too worried... he made sure to send his most capable ones. One of his eyes twitches within the mask that conceals his face at the memory of the reports he was given a mere one or two days ago claiming that little miss ex-archon went out of her way to attack some Treasure Hoarder camps that were locations of interest. "Tch," he glares. Honestly how did one woman manage to make that much damage? Most of their hounds were useless and those within the Treasure Hoarders that held the most promise are almost always in the upper ranks.
Hugo sighs and moves his head from one side to the other, effectively cracking his neck. He's more tense than he thought, but he knows that's thanks to the dosage of liquid energy he injected into his system a mere hour ago. Even after all of these years consuming that damn thing his body has an adjustment period where it threatens to collapse if he doesn't pay attention.
"Boss, we got her!" The sound of such a declaration is like a symphony to his ears, a smile behind his smiling mask as he feels his two trusty men near with a struggling Furina. Finally!
"Ah, Miss Furina!" He turns to greet her like a long lasting friend who has not seen her in ages. "It's so nice to see you!" Tied up and restraint suits her, what a nice look it is on her! She looks far less insufferable. "Please, set her down." He instructs once fully turned around with his gloved hand. His men aren't gentle with it, which was fine, they're just as upset about what she did to their camps as he is. "Now, now," he shakes his head, "lets not damage the merchandise." He chides. Not yet, at least. "You two have done well, you can go." He's done with them. Both salute Hugo and bow respectfully before departing, knowing not to dwell too long after being given an order.
Hugo keeps his peace for a few moments and merely enjoys the view of seeing the great star of Fontaine on her knees and restrained by rope infused with electro elemental energy that sets off itself at any particular movement. He chuckles, what a pleasant view. He likes it! "Rumor has it you wanted my attention so bad that you went after a couple of my camps."
going through multiple treasure hoarder camps in fontaine with furina & ransacking them with her so that @maskdthief learns not to make fun or talk badly about neuvillette ever again.
My pride and joy along with Tetsuya awraxa.
It's not often that someone so boldly speaks so contemptuously of the iudex; Monsieur Neuvillette has enjoyed a rather favorable opinion among the people of Fontaine for many years now, and for Hugo to do the opposite so blatantly sticks out to her like a sore thumb. Even she, who can not sincerely say that she has always thought of the iudex positively, acknowledges that there was always some sort of respect that he commanded of the room. Oh, there were days where she could not stand to be within the same vicinity, where her control over her emotions were tenuous at best, but she never quite forgot who it was she was dealing with. Hugo, on the other hand, speaks as if he could frankly care less. Navia holds her tongue, however, for she can't quite argue against the snide remark he makes. She's been close enough to see for herself that Neuvillette is still human with a heart what trembles so much as anyone utters a word about a certain young woman who masqueraded as an archon for over five hundred years. (That is, if he doesn't mention her first.)
Navia can hardly hide the blank surprise that envelopes her features. Blue eyes widen at the peculiar sight of a goose comes waddling out from the same direction she had heard the earlier ruckus. Her companions at her sides are all immediately on alert at the movement, bless them, jumping to their feet and staring down the winged creature. ❝ Come on now, we don't want to scare Monsieur Hugo's... pet. ❞ She insists, raising her hand to bar her subordinates from intimidating the bird any further. The flap of his wings does nothing to ease her men's nerves, and she can only mentally shake her head at them. There are far more pressing matters than an excitable goose. (Who has very cute little orange feet...)
At a complete contrast with the masked man, she refuses to sit. Not yet, at least. Her eyes are drawn to the thud of his boots upon the table, her features carefully blank. Navia knows she is at the mercy of his word, instincts telling her not to believe him right away. After all, how can one trust another who chooses to hide his face from the world? However... there must be some redeeming qualities to this man. To speak so warmly to animal and clearly care for it as he does means that he can not be so terrible as his reputation has made him out to be. Ruthless, sure, but with the ability to be honest... when he chooses, perhaps. Navia sighs, cautiously, carefully, finally taking a seat across from him.
❝ Thank you, we are attempting to rebuild as quickly as we can. ❞ She does not trust him, not fully, but there is little else she can do but take his word for it. Her eyes light up at the mention of potential leads, leaning forward with interest. ❝ What can we offer in exchange for names? Relevant information? ❞ Navia is open to negotiation, golden brows rising at the mention of the fortress. That will be tricky. The Spina has respected the status quo of her father's time, infiltrating the fortress to a minimum and only when absolutely necessary; Wriothesley being aware of their presence as well. Her brow furrows a bit at the mention of her connection to him. It is not so outwardly public, the personal relationship that exists between the two of them. At least, when they are seen together, very few know that it is actually the Duke of Meropide that she's with and besotted with. It has been an unexpected bit of privacy they've come to enjoy. She does not like the implication Hugo wishes to use that personal connection to their advantage, a roar of protective emotions arising at the mere mention of it. The Spina might be able to handle this on their own without involvement of her——.
Again, a rush of movement, muskets drawn and aimed directly at the seed of chaos in their midst. Silver and Melus would not be so hasty, but her new companions are still fresh, and fiercely protective. Outbursts follow, not taking this insult to the departed Clementine nor the current president.
Navia presses her lips together into a thin line, her hands gripping each other tightly on her lap, in anger that is born of offence. How. Dare. He.
❝ I would kindly suggest that you keep any mention of my mother out of your mouth. ❞ Navia replies tersely, her features shifting as she openly glares at him. ❝ Fail to do so, and my following action will not be so kind.❞ She could care less about the implications aimed at herself, but to dare to speak that way of her mother, the woman she always wished she had known, is where she strictly draws the line. Her mother was impartial, fair, a member of the Spina in her own right, her personal relationship to her father was nothing like what he implies. Navia motions for her men to stand down, and their muskets are cautiously lowered. Unhappily so, but they heed her orders. ❝ Let us return to the true matter at hand, unless you wish to be taught a proper lesson in etiquette. ❞ She doesn't bother veiling the threat.
He feels the hostility rising and he prepares himself before the wave actually hits and crashes on land. The leader raises both his white gloved hands up to his sides as if to show that he's surrendering before the sight of the muskets, but that's hardly the case. This is his zone, this is his territory, if anybody is going to come out winning in this encounter it would be him, naturally. He's more entertained by their flared up emotions and how that makes her men react. Inexperienced they are, he sees. Crimes of passion more than likely not beyond their reach unless she tames them properly. Youngbloods, he knows a thing or two about keeping those in check.
She also didn't take too kindly to his words which was to be expected he muses. "Now, now, no need for the gun show gentlemen." He talks towards her men, she playing her role as the fine lady that she is, but her anger adds edge upon that beautifully infuriating face of hers. "Please keep your men under control, there's no need for violence in this exchange. I was just saying." He shrugs his shoulders with mirth dripping upon every word. "Do forgive me if it came across as an insult though." He speaks towards Navia with a slight chuckle, knowing well that he had this coming his way. "I'm just trying to say that you have connections that can well assist us with this matter, Miss Navia." Hugo sits up straight and places his hand on the table. "You have connections with the Duke," he begins to try to paint a picture for her, "nobody outside maybe the Iudex can get away with saying such a thing and mean it." Why, the mere reason Hugo even knows how the Duke looks like is because of his men. Yes, yes, they have a personal file on Wriothesley as well, even if the information they have really isn't anything to gawk at.
"Is that not how people like ourselves get through in life, Miss Navia? Through our connections? How we help our people make their day to day?" They are far more similar, unfortunately, that even Hugo would like to properly acknowledge. "All I'm trying to say is that's a connection you have." That's quite the connection to have even. "Or is there a specific reasoning behind why you don't want to use this connection of yours?" Perhaps there's more to these two that they're keeping under wraps?
Bro, you literally can't make a single joke comment on twt without people taking it up the ass. I thought shipping was a pain in the ass in the Final Fantasy 7 fandom but Genshin is sucking the very essence of fun behind the idea of ships as a whole.
' how dare you?! ' what was she expecting from him at this point? ' don't you dare insult neuvillette before me! this is the last time i hear you call him stupid do you understand? if you're that angry & upset then aim it at me. ' she glared at that ridiculous cartoonish mask he had on.
she wanted to properly address this overwhelming rage he so obviously had but he was impossible!
He crosses his arms and ignores her. No he's not taking any of it back. They're both equally at fault and that scale won't tip in favor for any of them. "Hmph." Clorinde's watching him... he'll let the horse die for now.
"Didn't ask where or how you got it. Hand it over." She's beckoning with an impatient hand. Is he feeling lucky today? Is he? "Now."
"Tch," he hesitates at first, but he knows damn well he doesn't stand a chance against her. Wordlessly Hugo brings his hand up and drops the disinfectant on her impatient hand. "Here. Happy?"
In the short time span of this blog Hugo has earned Navia's, Furina's, and Clorinde's impending femme fatale rage and I think that's a good milestone for my blog.
"Hand over the disinfectant." She's watching. Very closely.
Oh great... the champion duelist. "I purchased this legally." What does she mean hand it over?
' who hurt you? '
"You and that stupid Iudex of yours are on that list. Don't test me."
"Ugh, romance." How gross.
