Futurism

Cubism Assignment

This assignment was really fun to draw, especially cutting out shapes in the magazines

For this homework assignment, I chose my friend Mike. Mike has a lot of personalities and a lot of energy. The orange on his shoes and skin represents the energy, blue represents loyalty because we have been friends for so long now. Green is relaxed and laid back, red is his confidence and lastly, yellow represents his childish, fun behavior.

for my impressionist art assignment, I chose this moment from one of my favorite players. This was when Sidney Crosby helped the Pittsburgh Penguins win their second Stanley Cup in a row. I will never forget this moment because this is something iconic not many teams have done and it’s such an awesome moment to be alive for it.

ARTH- 102 Midterm

I chose this picture of Kim Kardashian because you can clearly see the top of her phone edited. I chose this because she is still one of pop culture's biggest influencers, and I find it crazy that even people like her use pictures that are edited AND post them online.

for this drawing I used colored pencils and crayons. I started with a pencil to draw her originally. the wall in the background was a little hard for me to draw, but I made the most of it. It was hard to draw the little details in her sweater, but I think it turned out pretty good.

I think this shows that most things we see online and social media, aren't actually real. Even though this picture is clearly edited, there's some photos out there that you can't see are edited.

For my third assignment, I used Connor and Gabe’s work. What stood out to me was the nature in the first picture. Seeing that, I instantly knew I could get creative with that. For the second picture I loved the background colors and patterns.

I chose the color combination of Blue (cool-toned) and orange (warm-toned). The outfits consist of a bunch of different legos from a Lego magazine. I tried to keep the Mario and Marvel theme throughout.

I chose the album Astroworld by Travis Scott because it’s so unique in so many ways. First off, I love all the different color patterns in the sunset. I love the carnival theme he uses especially because Astroworld isn’t an amusement park anymore. I used the trees as cacti because Travis Scott is from Texas. Adds a little western vibe to it. Finally, the space theme because “astro” is literally in the name.
