Lockon smiled then sat on the floor so the cats could sit on his lap and he could pet them equally. “I knew that’d get ya.” He chuckled a bit and and started to give the white kitty pets as well. “You are both so cute.”

Masaki down on the floor beside Lockon, resting his an elbow on his knee. “Aren’t they? These little rascals keep me happy. If I’m feeling down, as long as they’re around it won’t be for long.” 

Shiro purred as he was stroked, stretching a bit. Kuro had settled down in Lockon’s lap, purring like a motorboat. Her tail flicked idly as she sat there, turning her head some as she was given scritches.

“…….I think I got lost again.”

“Yeah...we definitely got lost again.” Masaki sighed. “Well, at least we got to see everyone again! That was fun, right?” 

“Oh, yeah!” Shiro replied. “You know, if you ignore the things trying to kill us, and stuff!” 

“Yeah, what he said,” Kuro said with a bit of exasperation.

Masaki points at Devilotte. "What's with this sassy lost child?"

     “Who are you calling sassy, jerk?!”

He cups a hand around his mouth. “Did anyone lose their kid?” Masaki asks, ignoring Devilotte’s pointed rebuttal.

“Of course! It was great to see Kouji and the gang again!” He grins. “We haven’t really gotten contacted about Original Generation 3 (or would it be 3rd?) yet, so...it was nice to get out and do something!”

“Excited? In what way?”

“Wait, what!? We’re in the new Super Robot Wars?” Masaki asked. “I thought we weren’t ever going to be in a licensed game again!” 

“Wow!! Just imagine all the people we’re gonna meet!!” Kuro gushed excitedly. 

“And the good food! I can’t wait! March can’t get here soon enough!!” Shiro chimed in.

He looked at the other a little confused. “That was a joke dude.” Lockon continued to pet Kuro and even picked her up and scratched under her chin wile he waited for her brother to get over his apprehension. “You’re missing all the pets Shiro.” He chuckled.

“Oh!” He simply exclaimed, a bit embarrassed he didn’t pick up on that. Deciding his legs were tired, Masaki moved to sit on his knees. 

Of course, as soon as Shiro realized Kuro was getting all the attention, he scurried over to Lockon. Looking up at him, he yowled a bit. Masaki couldn’t help but laugh at that- so much for the aloof act!

"that's an impressive machine you got there."

“Cool, isn’t it?” Masaki asks, crossing his arms.

Masaki points at Devilotte. “What’s with this sassy…..lost child?” He asked.

“What a sweet kitty. Hhmmm?” Lockon looked up at the boy as his hand lingered down to pet the black kitty that was currently rubbing against his pant leg. “Really? Well I’m good with wild animals.” He joked lightly taking a jab at one of his friends that was not even there. “Come ‘ere Shiro, it’s ok.”

“Hehe. Yeah, you could say that!” He was just glad Lockon didn’t dwell on the fact that Kuro and Shiro had openly spoke. Masaki definitely had to make sure he sat them down later to make sure they understood to act like cats while they were around new people. He blinked a bit at the man’s comment. “Wild animals?? They’re domesticated.” Poor boy doesn’t even realize it was a joke. 

Shiro paused, before easing up to Lockon. He was still a bit wary, but it didn’t look like he was shying away from attention. 

On the other hand, Kuro was purring away as she rubbed up against Lockon. She very much appreciated the petting!

Lockon decided to let the weirdness slide and knelt down to call the kitties to him if they felt so inclined. “C’m ‘ere kittys.”

Kuro immediately trotted up to the man, rubbing against his leg. Shiro was a bit more hesitant, approaching rather warily. Still, it didn’t seem like he was hostile..,just a bit nervous, if anything.

“Oh wow! She really likes you!” Masaki knelt down, watching his Familiars greet Lockon. “They’re pretty friendly, honestly. These two follow me everywhere I go.” He points to the black one. “That’s Kuro. She’s a bit more behaved than her brother, Shiro,” the green haired youth said while gesturing to the white cat. “He’s the one you’ve gotta look out for.”
