As Leliana walked deeper into the forest she glanced around cautiously, finding it odd that the birds and other wildlife had gone quiet almost as if someone or something had caught them off guard. Although she enjoyed silence in most situations and settings she could not help but feel as if there was something or perhaps someone else not that far either ahead or behind her. After a few more feet she stopped when she heard the fluttering of a bird's wings and she glanced around to see what had caused the bird to move, however when she saw where the bird was perched she instantly froze up.
She hesitated for a couple of seconds before bowing and a faint hint of a smile began to take form on her pale features. "... I do not believe we've crossed paths prior to this moment but it is a pleasure nether the less. If there is anything that I can assist you with then just say the word." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she straightened up and adjusted her bow slightly.

Lucci was quiet for a moment, studying her with a methodical intensity. Her perception was certainly impressive. Her politeness hadn’t gone unnoticed either, it was a refreshing change in comparison to his usual company.
The white pigeon accompanying him cooed restless from its place on his shoulder. The assassin’s focus breaking only for a second to spare a glance towards his pet, quieting the animal. With a lazily roll of his shoulder the bird took flight, landing softly on a low branch not far from Leliana. The animal’s small red eyes darting curiously between his master and the girl in question.
“We have not. Your cooperation has been noted.” His expression was harsh. Lips pressed into a tight scowl and the lines around his eyes seemed to accentuate the coldness his expression held. Yet, despite his outward presentation, his tone was calm. Relaxed almost despite the gravelly dryness in his tone. A pleasure was an interesting choice and it was a phrase he’d rarely heard applied to him. “Can I assume you already know who I am?”

CALM / QUESTIONING.
“ tell me, what happened?”
“ did you see anything?”
“ what do you remember?”
“ do you remember anything unusual?”
“ please, try to remember as much as you can.”
“ every detail is important.”
“ and what happened next?”
“ and what did you do when all this took place?”
“ what were you doing around __ am/pm?”
“ where were you around __ am/pm?”
“ can anyone verify that?”
“ was someone with you?”
“ and you had nothing to do with it?”
“ and you weren’t involved?”
“ did you see it happen?”
“ did you see who did it?”
“ did you see or hear anything? anything at all?”
CARING / UNDERSTANDING.
“ you seem scared… is that why you don’t want to talk?”
“ did someone hurt you?”
“ it’s okay. you can tell me.”
“ you were just trying to defend yourself, weren’t you?”
“ we can take a break, if you want.”
“ everything will be okay, i promise. but you need to talk to me.”
“ it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it. but it really would help if you did.”
SUSPICIOUS.
“ there is something you’re not telling me.”
“ i think you’re lying.”
“ you looked away just now when you said that. are you sure you’re telling the truth?”
“ except what you’re telling me doesn’t align with what we already know.”
“ seems to me like you know more than you’re letting in on.”
“ what aren’t you telling me?”
“ who are you trying to protect?”
“ so you really don’t know what any of it means? no clue at all?”
“ they must’ve told you more than that.”
“ you have to have seen more than that.”
“ and you want me to believe you don’t remember?”
“ and you want me to believe you had nothing to do with it?”
“ an accident? is that what you’re going with?”
DEMANDING.
“ i need you to tell me the truth.”
“ i need you to tell me what happened.”
“ i know you’re not telling me the truth.”
“ that doesn’t line up with the evidence. so… you wanna try that again?”
“ stop lying. i already know that’s not what happened.”
MAKING A DEAL / ASKING FOR HELP / DEMANDING HELP.
“ what do you want in exchange for this information?”
“ i’m listening…”
“ you’re coming with me.”
“ since you’re the only one who knows how to find them, i don’t really have a choice but to take you with me.”
“ fine. i’ll take you with me, but if you try anything…”
“ i can’t give you that. you know that.”
“ if we’re going to make a deal, you’re gonna have to ask for something a little more rational than that.”
“ okay. we have a deal.”
“ sorry. no deal.”
It was an unfortunate and a needlessly tedious errand. Lucci may have even gone as far to say, it was soul sucking. His eyes grimmly fixed at the rows of colorfully packaged boxes, stacked neatly on the gray wire shelves. Money wasn’t a problem, even undercover that was one aspect he never had to suffer for, but left alone to his own devices in a grocery store was a recipe for disaster. This was not something he had been prepared for. His job was to assassination and espionage. He understood the fundamentals of course, but it was these little details no one had warned him about.
Why this little store insisted on carrying 11 different brands of the same laundry detergent was beyond him. Was there even a difference between the yellow and the purple box? His gaze lingering on the purple packaging with a cartoon bear holding tightly to a white blanket. Perhaps that one is for large animals? This didn’t seem like the kind of place to commonly keep bears as pets but, as it was, that seemed like the most reasonable explanation.
His lips pursed together in annoyance. He’d been standing here too long now to not look completely lost and yet his ego wouldn’t allow himself to ask the clerk for help. Hattori, the white pigeon perched on his shoulder coos soothingly, tugging gently on a strand of his masters hair out of boredom.
He had half a mind to ask the nearest person for help, but that would look desperate. Rob Lucci did not ask for help. No he’d have to be more covert than that. Turning his attention to the nearest person, his eyes dark and unintentionally piercing as he struggled to figure out exactly how to phase his question while keeping his dignity intact.
“What’s your preference?” His question is almost deadpan, but there's a restrained harshness to his tone.
