I'm excited to be in a new era of blading, but I hope we don't destroy too many kids dreams of reaching the top. Me and Pegasus ARE very strong after all.

If you want, gather yourself and you teammates, cause I might need a pair of helping hands of two with this. Meet me in the park when you've gathered whoever you wanna bring along for this.

Anyways, she looked a bit better afterwards, so we got settled down in bed and we kissed a little and cuddled until I fell asleep. And when I woke up this morning, about an hour and a half later, he was gone. I called her cell phone, but it went to voicemail…

Oh! He was muttering something yesterday… he said something about a “Lodestar”, whatever that is? Will that help at all?

That name is familiar, the Lodestar. I am not completely familiarized with it, but I believe that is a place located in the Shadow Realm, one of my many names.

[ * Bruce turns to the shadow duplicate. ]

So this is Shadow Pro business we're dealing with... thanks for the insight DR.

Just in time. Well, as for what we know, Emile had most likely encountered a Shadow Pro sometime before her disappearance, and I'm guessing they offered some kind of deal. Emile doesn't seem the type to fall for something like that though, so it's possible she left to try and force out a couple more details.

However, we DO know that this has something to do with the Shadow Realm, specifically somewhere called "Lodestar". Got any info on what this Lodestar may be, seeing as you've been involved in Shadow Pro shenanigans before? DR doesn't have any info on it except being able to say it's familiar due to recognizing the Dark Resonance in it.

…No, I don’t know anything about a “Lodestar”. There’s one thing I remember about it the Shadow Pros, though; they’ll use any kind of dirty trick to get what they want. I just hope they didn’t convince Émile of anything…

On the bright side, though, we know that he’s not being held hostage. They would have done something if they had her. Plus, I’m sure that he can handle herself! I’ve seen how strong he is personally…

I say we split up to look for him. Bruce and Tenka, you’re our best fighters. You guys should go towards any known Shadow Pro bases, but don’t engage right away. Try and see if Émile’s with them, and if she is, call us for backup. I’ll go with you, Griffin, and we can search the outer streets first, then move towards the center of town. If we find out anything, we’ll call you guys!

That sounds like a plan! Here, take these.

[ Bruce tosses LIGHTNING PEGASUS to Robin. ]

Lightning will allow you to increase your speed using Resonance. You'll be able to search much faster, and if you need to, you can even run up walls to get on top of a building for a "Bird's Eye View". You can also manipulate lightning, but that's only if you need a light shock to jumpstart a potentially unconscious Emile.

[ Bruce chuckles before also tossing Robin BLIZZARD PEGASUS. ]

And Blizzard is also pretty self explanatory, with Resonance based Cryokenisis.

And I'll hold onto Hurricane and Pyrogenetic. It'll be easier to hold off Shadow Pro goons with these. I admittedly will need Tenka to help me find the bases though, cause I don't know about any of em... But other then that, we're golden.

Natsuki took her time to sit alone on a bench at the blink of dusk. The wind passed over as the sun slowly turned purple. Her blonde and green hair, still in her signature pigtails, flowed.

She sighs as she takes them out, the long hair now falling and getting in her face. As if she were finally releasing herself. Looking at the hair ties, she puts one in again, but only one ponytail on the side of her head while the rest remain down.

“ Perhaps this can be a new me. The shadow realm is my home now, since I left the X and my teammates. My name is Nexus Ryugu, the younger sister of Khrome Ryugu. ”

Beside her was the Blader N helmet that Khrome also gave her; the sea green with the neon yellow N with the line through it stood out a lot to her appearance. “ I did everything that I was meant to do. I am only 13, and yet I feel so empty. Being replaced wasn't fun. My life belongs to the shadow realm. I am so sorry that I left you, best friend. ”

And yet it still doesn't feel like home, does it?

[ * The voice that echoed through the dusk was familiar. But the being that sat next to Nexus was anything but. They looked like Bruce Seireitsukai, but had a purplish black skin tone, bright golden eyes, black feathered angel wings protruding from their back, pitch black hair... ]

[ * They looked so much like Bruce yet nothing like him at all. ]

Y'know, I took some interest in these "Underground Bladers". Haven't met any of 'em yet, but they always reak of some kind of Dark Resonance when their near.

Speaking of, who's this "Best Friend" of yours? Got a story you wanna share with the class?

“ Those Underground Bladers you speak of, yes they do have darkness. Lots of it. It's the shadow realm after all. Me and my brother fell into it. "

Also, "Shadow Realm"? Guess I have another name to add onto my hundreds at this point. Not that you would know any of them.

Well, maybe you'd know one of my names. I bet that's enough context for you to figure it out.

But as for your friend? I'd say it's plenty my business. After all, your shadow doesn't exactly stop following you. Even when you can't see it, it's still there.

Even with the piece of me you hold in your soul, it'll stay there no matter what.

[ * The shadow changes shape. They now look like Nexus, but more rotted like a corpse, a mask welded onto their skull, with broken glass and various mutated body parts that resemble Jaxon Cross. ]

After all, in order for there to be darkness, there has to be one made of it. One to create it, or be created from it. I am that someone, the darkness of many names.

But you may call me "DR". The name I have currently been wielding like the ones before me.

Nexus began to scoff. Moving away from the strange shadow. “ don't you dare turn into that.... ”

“ you are right about one thing, my past shadows don't stop following me. Also I will say this again, my best friend isn't your business. Stay out of it. He isn't a part of this! He doesn't know anything. He won't. ”

She got up from the bench, her helmet falling as she stumbled. Making a loud crash. Her eyes looking exactly like Khrome's.

“ The shadow realm...There are three top shadow pros in the underground. You might know at least two of them, but the third one is hard to understand. ”

“ Not even the other two know much about them. Everything is a mystery. Even gender, her purpose. Everything. I mean it. ”

[ * DR curiously tilts their head, smiling gently and digesting the information as they revert back to their previous form. ]

Interesting. I will say, I have not yet made myself acquainted with these Shadow Pros, besides knowing a few things about Khrome. I will have to find these Shadow Pros.

Not only that, Xenon City has HOLLOGRAM TECHNOLOGY. And while it is cool...

Nobody in Xenon, aside from people who have seen my battle with my friend Robin and some of my other matches, even know that Resonance exists AT ALL. Which means easy picking for Burst Era Bladers like ourselves. >:]

WHOAH! That’s so fast! That “Bit” thing… I wonder if I could make something like that…and holograms too? Seems pretty tech-y and wild over there; sounds like my kind of place! It sure would suck if they had some “technical difficulties”… hehehe!

NO RESONANCE?!?! Are you serious?! Can they even put up a fight? How do they battle without talking to their partners anyways? Maybe me and Belfyre ought to go show them what a real pair of partners looks like!

This place makes Beys with metallurgy and stuffs, since X era beys are primarily made out of Metal for the blade and allat. If you wanna make your own X-Era Belial evolution, the workshops are on the first 4 floors not counting the lobby at the first floor. Floors 6-8 are for tournaments, and floors 9-11 are my personal spaces for doing various Things[TM]. 9 Has my own personal workshop with bey stadiums to test new beys, floor 10 is training, and floor 11 is the apartment you currently stand in!

Speaking of, actually, you might wanna think about making multiple different Belials. Different types and stuff. In the X, the big tournament place around Xenon, teams of 3 bladders usually face off to get higher up the ranks. I get by with only myself, because. I'm me. I may not be the best when it comes to blading in general, but my study of Resonance above everyone else just discarding it for the next shiniest thing is what's kept me atop the competition for so long, ever since I finally met Pegasus during my time with The Victories.

But you? Sure, you've faced off against powerful bladers in our era, and sure the X Era's don't have a bit of Resonance to their name except Chrome and Robin, but that doesn't mean you can get too cocky. The bladers here may not have the power creep advantage, but they do have the advantage when it comes to strategy. The X-Era is jam packed of bladers that can approach you from unexpected angels if you let your guard down for too long. Even I struggle a lot with a couple of 'em, and the Robin guy I mention even managed to BEAT me in a battle.

So don't take Xenon too lightly. We've got the power, but the X-Era's have the leverage to push us back a bit if we don't play around 'em.

Beside her was the Blader N helmet that Khrome also gave her; the sea green with the neon yellow N with the line through it stood out a lot to her appearance. “ I did everything that I was meant to do. I am only 13, and yet I feel so empty. Being replaced wasn't fun. My life belongs to the shadow realm. I am so sorry that I left you, best friend. ”

But as for your friend? I'd say it's plenty my business. After all, your shadow doesn't exactly stop following you. Even when you can't see it, it's still there.
