Wow, he wasnāt actually expecting her to comply so quickly. He knew that it was probably best if she did agree, but she seemed so young, he expected more hesitation. After all, this was a foreign land full of people that werenāt even the same species of her. Though, he figured that probably left her with little optionsā¦
Thatās besides the point, though, and he looks down again. Heās about to answer her question, not particularly minding the idea she proposes. After all, she had definitely had a rough day so far, it seemed. However, he jumps when he watches her change form into an actual animal, not expecting this situation to get any weirder. He resists the urge to shout from his sudden surprise, knowing that alerting anyone to the two of them would probably end poorly, at least, it would now, given the new look Airen was sporting.
Though, he supposes it isnātā¦ entirely new. She looks almost like Morgana does in Palace, and when he nods, picking her up, he realizes sheās about the same weight, too, which isnāt very heavy.
Propping her up on his shoulders as carefully and gently as he can, he starts walking as fast as possible. With her this high up and visible, he didnāt want to risk anyone seeing her, so he needed to be quick.Ā
Airen rests her chin on top of his head as they leave, the little lion hoping for a comfortable place to sleep when they get there. It isnāt exactly like she has the right to complain, however. She is lucky enough to have found someone she felt she could trust that was willing to give her a place to stay until she could figure out how to get back home.
The walk was rather quiet, which made her feel a bit awkward, so she decided to break the silence.Ā āSo... what were you doing back there by yourself? You looked a little sad, too,ā she says, recalling the reason she even tried talking to him in the first place.
