Do you have any secrets?
That's a secret!
dln69-jewelman: masternumber003: Cut Manâs voice could be heard from the other side of the door. âI am not 100% repaired yet, I still have to go back to the lab- Are you crying?â he nodded and left out a little groan âAnyway, let me in? Dad told me-⊠I think we should talkâŠ?â -Jewel clenched his fistâŠ. âWell, if you think we should not talk, thatâs fine with me, bye!âŠâ Cut Man proceed to run away, but he quickly stopped and without as much enthusiasm he came back to the doorway âNo, that is not okayâŠâ He entered in the room on his own, with unconfortability growing in his face. The initiative of asking sorry was not his, and he was not good at heavy talk, but he imagined he was meant to do this. âSo⊠In the end I am going back to the lumberyard tomorrow because apparently running away from job is against the law now. AndtheydidjustlostabrutallyhighproductionprofitâŠâ despite the seriousness of the situation, Cut Man acted like a pouty man, he groaned and nodded âAnd by law I mean the robotics one, it seems.â He meditated. He tried to understab what Dr. Light had told him earlier Iâm order to talk to Jewel Man about it, but he did not so he tried to spit it by memory with his slow-going circuits. âI have free will in order to make decisions and judgment but I cannot break the laws of robotics, however I can use my free will thing to twist the situation and make things seem like they donât break the rules of robotics. However, I am NOT supposed to break them so if I try to twist them, my coding and my free will get in conflict and my head explodes, or somethingâ he took a second to recall if he had explained it well, but gave up. â Er⊠Laws of robotics are dumb, right?â He left out a very awkward chuckle staring at Jewel Man, maybe he could pass this without touching the apologies matter âBro?â
Some hours passed before Cut Manâs figure reappeared at the doorway of Jewel Manâs room. His attitude was weak and his template was silent. His legs shaked just slightly as his steps took him there. He could feel malfunctions in his core here and there, and he was couscious...
Cut Man's voice could be heard from the other side of the door.
'I am not 100% repaired yet, I still have to go back to the lab- Are you crying?' he nodded and left out a little groan 'Anyway, let me in? Dad told me-... I think we should talk...?'
âBUT JEWEBZZZ!â Cut Man shaked his head trying to get rid of the system errors popping in his inside with a clearly frustrated attitude âIt is NOT that bad. I am not around attacking people or stealing stuff or something⊠I am just taking a break. All robots do. I donât want to stop working, I just want not to work in these dates! Dad will understandâŠâ He took a second to think of it. He had not realised it before. What Light would think? Was Cut really expecting to appear in Lightlabs unannounced and when asked what he was doing there, say he had left the job his father had built him for⊠That deffintely sounded unacceptable now that Cut had stopped to think about it. A gasp escaped from Cut Manâs mouth, he had not thought of it that way, but was he really doing it THAT wrong? Jewel Man⊠He really was seeing bad and his reaction was making Cut Man conscious of all⊠He recalled the little kid from before and looked how his human bosses were going away with frustrated expressions. His systems calculated the job that he had left for the humans to do by themselves and how many situations like the ones he had seen it would provoke⊠What had he done?⊠⊠ââŠâ Cut Man stared blank âI⊠Maybe I did wrong, Jewel⊠⊠BUT THEY CAN DO IT THEMSELVES TOO!â The sounds of system errors and metallic screeches multiplied and became heardable all over the shop, catching people attention. Cut Manâs eyes became blurry with distorted data and a large crack followed by an intense electrical buzzing could be heard before he collapsed on the floor, his body smoking.
Sodln69-jewelman:
-Jewel was shaking in panic. He wasnât too sure what to say. The only thing he could do watch Cut fight off system errors.- C-Cut! Whatâs going on with you? You might not be doing anything bad like that but you at least need to work it out! -The pink robot shook his head. Looking at Cut reminded him of the time he was under Wilyâs control. Cut looked like those robots he hurt. He desperately tried to keep calm. It wouldnât do if he panicked now.- C-Cut, we need to go home⊠Weâll hide you from Dad but you need to talk to him soon. This is just not right!
-Jewel jumped up when Cut started to completely malfunction. He shook in horror as he saw his brother collapse. He was on full panic mode.- C-Cut! No! Wake up! -The pink robot shook his brother. He started to panic even more when he saw Cutâs body smoke.- N-N-No⊠-Jewel held his head. He couldnât stop the images of the robots he killed. Tears fell from his eyes.- âŠS-S-Sorry C-Cut⊠B-But I-I canât l-leave you here⊠-With what little courage he had, Jewel picked up Cut. He threw him over his shoulder before running out the door. He couldnât stop sobbing. Jewel rubbed his eyes, not stopping until they got home.-
-The pink robot put his brother on the couch. Jewel, with that energy he had left, gave a notification for Light to fix Cut. The only thing he could do left was go to his room. He tried to relax but seeing Cut like that brought up some awful memories. Jewel curled himself up into a ball. The only thing he was able to do was cry.-
Some hours passed before Cut Man's figure reappeared at the doorway of Jewel Man's room. His attitude was weak and his template was silent. His legs shaked just slightly as his steps took him there. He could feel malfunctions in his core here and there, and he was couscious of all the data and inner alerts that adverted him he was not in his best shape, but he had got repaired to his minimal functions and he was able to at least walk again.
His knuckles gently knocked on the door.
'Jewel Man.' his voice sounded tired, and a sight buzzing distorted it. 'Jewel Man. It's me...'
âYou say it like it was THAT bad⊠Y-you knowâŠÂ ? I have right to!â Cut Man snapped, althought this time he managed to control his tone of voice.
âYear after year I get overworked⊠Well, not that overworked but my circuits almost fry with the christmas demand⊠Cut, chop this, Cut Man, clear these branches, Cut Man, you should be finished! PLEASE! I always have to be most of christmas attending ridiculous demands and I canât enjoy christmas like other robots do, and that is not fair! When did I sign up for this!?â
His voice had turned suddenly very defensive. He could notice the scary feeling of another of these error popping in his systems but he did not
âI am just taking something I deserve, geez!!!â he gulped, but then nodded and smiled with confidence âCome on, itâs not like humans havenât done it by themselves abbbzzztll during bbzzzzt! years befbeepbeepore robotbeeps w-w-w-were buildt!â
That doesnât make it right! -Jewel puffed out his cheeks in worry.- You could at least told them you were taking a break! Do you know how many humans get fired if they pulled something like that? -Jewel continued to look at the humans. They didnât seem like they were doing too much. The pink robot was ready to grab Cut and run if needed however.-
If you donât want to work there anymore, tell Dr. Light! Iâm sure heâll think of something. -Jewelâs voice started to screech a bit.- Weâre supposed to be good! Not do bad things like that! Donât you- -Jewel was caught off guard by Cutâs system error. He was starting to freak out.- C-Cut! Whatâs wrong? O-Oh dearâŠ
'BUT JEWEBZZZ!' Cut Man shaked his head trying to get rid of the system errors popping in his inside with a clearly frustrated attitude 'It is NOT that bad. I am not around attacking people or stealing stuff or something... I am just taking a break. All robots do. I don't want to stop working, I just want not to work in these dates! That deffintely sounded unacceptable now that Cut had stopped to think about it. A gasp escaped from Cut Man's mouth, he had not thought of it that way, but was he really doing it THAT wrong? Jewel Man... He really was seeing bad and his reaction was making Cut Man conscious of all... He recalled the little kid from before and looked how his human bosses were going away with frustrated expressions. His systems calculated the job that he had left for the humans to do by themselves and how many situations like the ones he had seen it would provoke... What had he done?... ... '...' Cut Man stared blank 'I... Maybe I did wrong, Jewel... ... BUT THEY CAN DO IT THEMSELVES TOO!' The sounds of system errors and metallic screeches multiplied and became heardable all over the shop, catching people attention. Cut Man's eyes became blurry with distorted data and a large crack followed by an intense electrical buzzing could be heard before he collapsed on the floor, his body smoking.
âOf course I did nothing wrong, Jewel Man!â Cut Man jumped without being able to control the nerves of his tone of voice. It startled him and he feared he could be heard, but when he looked through the shop mirror, the couple of humans that he knew well in the other side passed without looking In his direction. He noticed they seemed in a hurry, maybe angry. And found himself surprised of how that was more or less odd in one or the another. âI⊠I just took a break from workâŠâ he looked at Jewel Man with a nervous giggle â a little earlier than I was meant to⊠But⊠But I have right to have fun!â
Took a break from work -Jewel blinked. He suddenly widened his eyes, realizing what his brother had done.- You skipped work?! -Jewel tried to keep his voice down. He looked at Cut with worried eyes.- Why would you do that?! If you wanted to take a break, you could at least talk to your bosses! Oh dear⊠-Jewel looked worryingly at the humans. They seemed to be preoccupied with other things but Jewel was on guard.-
'You say it like it was THAT bad... Y-you know... ? I have right to!' Cut Man snapped, althought this time he managed to control his tone of voice.
'Year after year I get overworked... Well, not that overworked but my circuits almost fry with the christmas demand... Cut, chop this, Cut Man, clear these branches, Cut Man, you should be finished! PLEASE! I always have to be most of christmas attending ridiculous demands and I can't enjoy christmas like other robots do, and that is not fair! When did I sign up for this!?'
His voice had turned suddenly very defensive. He could notice the scary feeling of another of these error popping in his systems but he did not
'I am just taking something I deserve, geez!!!' he gulped, but then nodded and smiled with confidence 'Come on, it's not like humans haven't done it by themselves abbbzzztll during bbzzzzt! years befbeepbeepore robotbeeps w-w-w-were buildt!'
Cut Man frowned, kind of wishing he would just make Heat Man say something that would declare him good or evil in a black or white fashion, because this conversation was beginning to bug him.
âBut⊠if Wily told you to do something bad, you would do it, right? And Wily is bad!â he did a pause, like if trying not to lose track of his deductions âAnd.. that is badâ
Heat sat down again, lowering his guard.
âYâknow, it would depend on what he asked. Iâm not gonna go out and kill a bunch of people or burn the city to the ground. Though the latter would definitely be fun.â He knew it wasnât the answer Cutman wanted, but there was nothing to gain from lying. Well, except the otherâs trust.
Cut Man stayed silent. Staring at Heat Man, trying to process an answer, but the processes in his circuits were contradicting and he was not sure how to follow them at all... Like a malfunction, the fact that Heat Man was not that bad but either good enough made him unconfortable and bugged him.
'... I'm so-' he nodded '... If you promise you will only burn the dead trees and nothing else...'
Cut Man shaked his hand to get rid of the unconfortable feeling of hitting the metallic lid of the other robot, and frowned. He was beginning to feel unconfortable BEYOND the circuits he had got affected by the hit. He felt unconfortable on the idea of Heat Man not being a bad robot. He did not like that people he did not like had points.
âBUT.. I donât serve to that crazy butt of a doctor that is your creator, meanwhile you DO. I came back to Dr. Lightâ he tried to point back âIf you are not so bad, why are you in the bad side?â
Heat stumbled back from the hit. âDo you go out of your way to make enemies with everyone you meet?â He raised the lid up and secured it so it wouldnât slam down on him.
âI donât really âserveâ anyone. And living at home means Iâm on the âbad sideâ? What do you expect me to do, live on the streets? I have a good home and I have no intentions of leaving that.â
Cut Man frowned, kind of wishing he would just make Heat Man say something that would declare him good or evil in a black or white fashion, because this conversation was beginning to bug him.
'But... if Wily told you to do something bad, you would do it, right? And Wily is bad!' he did a pause, like if trying not to lose track of his deductions 'And.. that is bad'
[Cut Man crosses his arms and nods, beginning to feel a little irritated towards Elec Manâs disciplinary acting, although remains a calm mood] Here we go with the A.I. thing againâŠÂ ! Like if your âsuper high A.I. helped much, Elec Man. As far as I see, it only helps you to deserve this Sergeaht-sparks nickname! Tell me, what is wrong with my attitude? Am I supposed to have yours? [his voice pretends to imitate Elec Manâs, as he puts on a frowny face] Hi, I am Elec Man, and I donât know how to have fun because I am too busy being grumpy at my lineâs fun, sparky sparky!
[His eyes narrow.]
I do not sound like that. I do not sound like that in the least. Being responsible does not mean Iâm ruining your fun.
[presses his cheeks with his hands and sings]
Awwww, Sgt. Sparks got pickyyy, Sgt. Sparks got pickyyy...!Â
[after a little of mock more, he closes his fist and gently punches Elec Man in the shoulder brotherly]
Smile a little and relax, brother! We ARE responsible! We are made for that! We just take it easier.
Oh, well, not that Cut Man thought he looked cool in that jacket or something! âbeing in a secret missionâ sounded badass enough. Once the robot found himself inside the house, he looked around curious, caring on the mud of his legs as much as his duplicate. âOH, WOW!!â he gasped as he pulled off the jacket and dropped it in the nearest furniture as his eyes looked around âSo this is what an independent robot masterâs home looks like!! WOWâŠ.!â He stepped around the room staring at everything without hesitation, then stepped back towards Cut Woman. âI imagined it largerâ
003: Wait⊠He imaged it to be larger? âOh.â she said flatly, a bit annoyed. âMy apartmentâs only for two people. Itâs got perfect room. Sides, if itâs smaller sis has be clean less.â she said, trying to sound convincing.
'Oh, well, it's fine, it's fine!' Cut Man replied 'I don't know much about houses anyway! I care. more on the kind of stuff we can do inside! So, what are we gonna do?? I am excited!'
âS-Shoppingâ, No!â Cut Man wasnât able to stop staring outside, without even aware of what shop he could have got in. Like this, and making sure he was not seen from the outside, he pointed out. âThem.â he said. âThey are the reason. These men are⊠My bossesâ There was a large pause in which Cut Man stared out with nervousism, frowning. âThey must be looking for me⊠I canât let them find me!.
-Jewel blinked.- Your bosses? Why are you so afraid of them? Iâm sure theyâre just looking around. -Jewel gave a worried frown.- Whatâs going on, Cut? Why are you hiding? âŠYou didnât do anything bad did you? -Jewel frowned. He wasnât going to do anything but he was very worried.-
'Of course I did nothing wrong, Jewel Man!' Cut Man jumped without being able to control the nerves of his tone of voice. It startled him and he feared he could be heard, but when he looked through the shop mirror, the couple of humans that he knew well in the other side passed without looking In his direction. I just took a break from work...' he looked at Jewel Man with a nervous giggle ' a little earlier than I was meant to... But... But I have right to have fun!'
[His eyes spark and his smile widens over his face in the fantasy of a world without Elec Man] You mean having fun without your face popping in from behind some corner and spoiling it all with your superiority complexes? It makes my scissors go snippy snippy only out of thinking itâ
[Grimaces, completely unamused.]
Your reaction is precisely why you need me and why everyone else needs me. Nothing would ever get done around here.
Besides, who would cover for you if Dr. Light ever caught you idling around?
Ummmh⊠Roll would, of course! [He smirks, proud of his comeback, ignoring the idea of Light knowing if his lazying around] Come on, bro, relax already! Do we always have to meet to talk about work, work and work? I already chopped my trees without your âbig bro managementâ! Donât you think instead of worrying so much on what our line do, you should focus on unplugging? Sergeaht-Sparks.
[Elec sighs and shakes his head, leaning down a bit to get closer to Cutâs height.]
No, we donât have to talk about work. Do you think I enjoy this, is that the assumption you make? Iâm doing just fine unwinding, thank you.
Besides, thereâs far more to keeping tabs on you guys than just work. You have a boss that can do that.
[He continues to just kind of stare Cutman, his judgement on the scissorbot not much different than usual.]
You know, your A.I. age is no excuse for your attitude, Cut.
[Cut Man crosses his arms and nods, beginning to feel a little irritated towards Elec Man's disciplinary acting, although remains a calm mood] Here we go with the A.I. thing again... ! Like if your 'super high A.I. helped much, Elec Man. As far as I see, it only helps you to deserve this Sergeaht-sparks nickname! Tell me, what is wrong with my attitude? Am I supposed to have yours? [his voice pretends to imitate Elec Man's, as he puts on a frowny face] Hi, I am Elec Man, and I don't know how to have fun because I am too busy being grumpy at my line's fun, sparky sparky!
â Okay! I know exactly were we are going!â Cut Man exclaimedâŠ
âŠagain. âI am not lost or anything! I just thought it would have been interesting to make a wider walk around the place! You know, to see more stuff!â
He waved his arms on the air as he talked, trying to look enthusiasted. But to be honest, he was beginning to get bugged⊠Where was that arcade?!He was not going to admit that they were lost, of course. He just pointed in a direction he thought he had not come from as they walked in circles some minutes before and began to walk towards there.
âCalm down your enthusiasm! Donât be so impatient! NOW we are going to the arcade, okay? And we will have fun and⊠â
But as he looked at the front, he stopped and froze in place. âOh, come onâhe muttered.
His eyes had just posed in a group of people, it seemed. Whatever was wrong with the apparently normal passing crowd, it made The orange robot gasp and he ran towards the nearest shop and entered, crashing into a woman that was coming out on her way out. It was obvious, he was hiding.
-Jewel nervously giggled at Cut. He wasnât going to say anything but he was starting to worry that they were lost. The pink robot simply followed Cut, looking around the area. It was starting to get more and more unfamiliar. Jewel was about to talk when Cut suddenly ran into a random shop. He walked into the shop, wondering what Cut was doing.- Cut? Did you want to shop here?
'S-Shopping,,, No!' Cut Man wasn't able to stop staring outside, without even aware of what shop he could have got in. Like this, and making sure he was not seen from the outside, he pointed out. 'Them.' he said. 'They are the reason. These men are... My bosses' There was a large pause in which Cut Man stared out with nervousism, frowning. 'They must be looking for me... I can't let them find me!.

The power plant doesnât need my services tonight so I thought I would check up on everyone.Â

Could you imagine what this line would do without me?

My scissor senses are tingling!
As I was recharging, the words 'Evolution of circuitry' appeared on my systems. What can it mean? I will just go goof around for a while.
