I definitely feel like he personally believed he was destined for greatness and that's what frustrated him the most. Was that he somehow couldn't achieve it, that is until he's "found".

I do think the phone he has is different, it would only receive calls. I like to think whoever it is, is keeping an eye on him at all times and would know when Spamton is ready to listen again.

The way this entire video plays out is exactly how I see DN Spamton's BS era ( and even a little bit of present day Tenna) RIGHT DOWN TO THE HAIR. THE DEMEANOR...THE SENSATIONALISM..THATS HIM!!

I'd like to think they properly met because Tenna asked to interview him, and the CROWD LOVED THEIR DYNAMIC!!!!! " WE WANT MORE" THEY CHEERED!!
Anyway, So far I just feel like Tenna would've come across how much of a success Spamton was, and in Defernull I feel like Tenna had more at stake in terms of staying relevant or just "being watched". ( reasons why I'll decide on later). He was really banking on Spamton filling him in on the secret to how he pulled it off.
Spamton would've seen Tenna as an opportunity to become MUCH bigger than he already is. " As seen on TV" gets you more credibility than any old ad you come across online.
AS FOR HIS EVENTUAL DOWNFALL....I'LL TOUCH ON THAT LATER !! JUST KNOW ..JUST LIKE DR SPAMTON...WANTING MORE...COULD LEAD YOU TO DARK PLACES !! NO MATTER HIGH UP YOU THINK YOU MIGHT BE!!!!

Tenna becoming the way he is, is not a result of how Spamton treated him, He witnessed Spamton's eventual spiral into madness and becoming addicted to said madness.
Spamton dipping was a catalyst.
Tenna changed because he felt like he had no other option BUT to change. He just ended up losing himself.

Sorry, I know I already posted it, but posting fanart of fanfiction is actually really embarrassing—like, the bar feels so high.
I mean, I’m just translating English text into my native language, looking things up when I don’t understand, and kind of reading slang by vibes since it doesn’t translate well. My understanding is so much lower resolution than native English speakers—isn’t it rude to draw fanart in this state!?
In my country, there isn’t really a culture of commenting on fanart or fanfiction, and only recently have a few brave people started speaking up. And here I am, riding that wave, not just leaving a comment saying I love a work from overseas, but actually drawing fanart—am I out of my mind!? What if people think this art idea originated with me!? I’m scared~ 😭 I really just wanted to secretly send the art to the author, tell them I’m cheering them on, and quietly leave. One of my favorite fanfics in the Mettatenna fandom is a work called “Dark Fountain Within,” and I love its worldview so much that I drew fanart for it.
I thought I’d just share my love with the author alone, but I didn’t know how to reach them, so I’m just posting it normally.
To the author, AngelEntropy: I love your writing. I’ve reread it many times, but my memory is hazy, so I don’t remember which chapter it was in—but I loved the scene where Mettaton looks at Tenna’s hands and thinks about wanting to do their nails, and I wanted to see it someday, so I drew it. I don’t know how to express love other than through drawing. This is self-indulgent of me—I’m sorry if it’s bothersome.

Hey everyone! I’ve been obsessed with mettatenenna and I’m trying to make acrylic keychains. I live in Japan so I can’t ship them to everyone, but if you’re coming to the event “SUPER COMIC CITY - day1 -” happening in Japan on May 5th, I might be able to hand some out. I only plan to make 10 since they’re mainly for myself. But I love mettatenenna so much that I wanted to show off to all you fellow fans, so I’m posting a sample pic. Mettatenenna is a ship that warms my heart. I especially love it when there’s no romantic feelings involved—just two people who need each other and deeply care about one another. But I also love romantic mettatenenna! There’s something so romantic and exciting about two stars sharing the same spotlight and falling into a dramatic love story.
A friend told me about this mettatenenna fic on AO3 that I absolutely love. You guys might already know about it, but it was a huge deal for me when I discovered it. My whole view of mettatenenna has been pretty heavily influenced by that fic.
