Lakesha Rose is the founder and CEO of @rosephillipsonline. Q; Whatâs the riskiest move youâve taken in your business? Any lessons learned?
A: Creating Rose Phillips Online with my own money and no investors, the lesson is itâs a gamble either way. Rose Phillips was created from a small idea to reinvent the way small business and non-profits are being featured in Chicago. We wanted to give them a platform to be seen and heard that would attract an emotional response and action. I donât know any better way to do that than through video.
Q: Whatâs one thing you wish youâd known before starting your business?
A: Thatâs a hard question to answer. Everyone wants to have an idea and start at 10 but if you donât go through 1-9 (and sometimes you need to repeat a few steps), when you finally get to 10 the gratification wouldnât feel nearly as special.
Q: Whatâs the best business advice youâve ever received?
A: Listen to people who know more than you. I always say if you can take your ego out of the equation you can win at most things.
Q: Whatâs the one thing you do every day to remain sharp and focused?
A: Always know your end goal and why you created your business. _
