I’m just going to take an OOC moment to say RIP, Chester Bennington. Your music guided me through those rough teenager years of confusion and angst. I am having a really hard time trying to wrap my head around it, I keep hoping its a hoax.
Send me ⚠ for my muse to save your muse from a fall.
Send 👏 for the reverse!
"I would disagree that the Elves brought doom to Azeroth - Azeroth has always been rich with the arcane, and if that is what draws the Legion, then that is within the nature of either this world or that of the Legion itself. What *would* doom us would be the refusal to use all the tools at our disposal to defeat them - and the arcane is a potent one indeed." The Blood Mage tilted his head slightly, not quite making eye contact. He seemed to be looking *through* rather than at Liadrin.
The Blood Matriarch narrowed her eyes at the Blood Mage, her fingers impatiently tapping along her plated arms as they were strictly across her chest. “Don’t get me wrong, I know our people, not just the Sin’dorei, have a need for the Arcane magic but reckless use of it has only wreaked havoc on our world. We will never see peace until either we can wean ourselves off our addiction and reckless usage of arcane, or defeat the Burning Legion.”
Her lips had curled back, baring her teeth and she spoke through her sneer, “And I will purge them with Holy Fire.” with a deep breath in, she exhaled out to calm herself. “However...I hope for both scenarios. The Highborne brought on the Sundering because they did not know how to control their power. the only difference between us, and them is that we aren’t a candle burning at both ends.”
@eightfingerorc (For the Character Vylris Leysong)
The Matriarch sat quietly, but sternly in her chair. Tucked away in a corner on The Filthy Animal, she awaited for a Knight Champion known as Vylris Leysong. Before her, many files and papers were spread neatly. Although, as she tried to look through them much of the handwriting was illegible. She sighed to herself and she ignored it, shaking her head and then she eased back into the chair, looking over the railing to see if she could catch the Champion making his way up the stairs.

Liadrin’s hand gestured towards the seat before her. “Come, sit, Champion Leysong.” and she started to put the papers together. “There are many Knights within the order, I do my best to allow some face time with them. Especially those who have accomplished a lot in recent years.Like you, Leysong.”

The Matriarch then gave a firm nod of her head. “That is correct.” And she flipped through a couple of more pages. “Many of my Knights have lost their lives in recent events. The Broken Shore, Suramar, and few like you who have lost limbs. I suppose I couldn’t help myself but look into those Knights who have sacrificed much, and are still alive. To this, I would give you a thank you.”

Certain comments made only added a bit more to the suspicion she felt. Her lips thinned a bit and she laced her fingers together, to then rest her chin, her sharp gaze eased as she closed her eyes. “I care not for what rumors are of your past. The Blood Knights have been viewed in an unfavorable light. And for many, I am sure they still hold the same opinion.”
Her right hand dismissively waved, “No… my concerns are something about you and your Knight Lord.” She paused for a moment, trying to find the right words to say. “I have heard that you two are in a relationship? At least, speculated relationship.”
She chose to be a little more blunt about it. “I find it concerning because… that is seen as a conflict of interest. These glowing reviews could be seen as her bias for you if you two are in a relationship.”

Listening to his stories, her eyes kept narrowed on him. Liadrin’s lips kept thinned. Her eyes were down on the table, tracing over the lines of the wood. Her eyes flickered back up once more, “You give a very convincing story, Leysong.” her thick, yet womanly voice spoke out.

Lady Liadrin blinked her eyes a few times, her expression stern and unwavering. She was met with the same stare. Her mouth slightly ajar as her eyes narrowed a little bit more. There was something on his mind, she could tell. Over the years she became quite good at reading people. The Matriarch cleared her throat with a small tug at the corner of her mouth. “Leysong.” she started, “You certainly have quite the gall to speak to your Matriarch in such a manner.” Soon a small chuckle escaped as she leaned back.
“I was never a fan of politics, to be honest. Since Lord Theron has earned... or rather given the position he was in, I did end up becoming more familiar with the diplomatic side of Silvermoon.” A sigh escaped her lips as her head and eyes turned away, “So now I must play the part.”
She stared at Vylris through the corner of her eyes then, “I only want to reassure that you do not get in trouble, Leysong. To be quite frank with you, you are one my better performing Soldiers. Along with Knight Lord Blackstrider. I would hate to have to do anything, it is only why I press the issue. I do absolutely despise when the Grand Magister breathes down my neck. I’m sure you understand my position, and why I had to question and be sure, correct?”
Liadrin curiously perked her brow.
Finished commission for a Guildie! Arulaeriyl a Blood Knight~ Had fun with the fact that I’m not mad at the armor.

“However,” She began, “You do realize, if you are caught lying about this... relationship it could mean consequences for both you, and Blackstrider, correct? Now, you seem to care for her, a lot. Platonicly, of course.” Her strict stare started to burn through him, “And i am sure you would do what you could to make sure she keeps out of trouble, correct? If you tell me the truth now, then there will be no consequences.”
There was a gentle tap of her fingers along the table top once more, “And there would only be a strong suggestion that you two either end it, or you move to another Knight Lord. However, you did bring up that if so, your duties and work to the Order have been ever consistent and I could consider it not an issue. Eyes would be kept on both of you to ensure that no reports come back otherwise.”
Liadrin clasped her hands together, and her head slightly canted to the side. “So, Leysong...?”

Her tongue licked over her lips, “I would say that it was a mistake but, there are not many Sin’dorei women as...well built as she is.” Liadrin attempted to be as respectful to her Knight Lord as possible. Liadrin was a muscular woman but this one that she spoke of...well, certainly out did her.
Liadrin laced her fingers a little tighter, and her expression became a little more firm. The Matriarch leaned forward in her chair a bit and one leg crossed over the other. Few people passed on the upper part of the inn, non would understand their conversation as Liadrin always preferred to speak in their native tongue.

“While the Prince fought to keep our people fed, we still did many horrible things. Despite how deep down I felt wrong for all of what we were doing, I still did them. Turning my back was only the right step but there is still a long road to redemption.” Liadrin looked down to her hands, her fingers curling into the palm of her hands and a deep frown was always on her face.
“What I do now, for our people, is still the driving force that I feel that I…I mean we… need to atone for.” She let out a bit of a bitter laugh. “But, it seems the other races have a reason to dislike us Elves. No matter what variation we are, we bring the Burning Legion to this world.”
|| @matriarch-liadrin ||
“This time we can blame an orc. It was Gul’dan that brought the Legion. We shouldn’t treat the Shal’dorei unfairly, after all.”
He let out a sigh. “No matter how many times we push the Legion back, it seems that they always find a way to return, each time quicker than before.”
“A member of the Legion still found them. And you want to know how? Magic. Arcane... and our need for it has doomed our Elven kind. I understand that we need it, but.” her teeth grit tightly. “Damn it all to hell...” her fists clutched tightly, resisting the urge to slam her fists into the table.
The matriarch took in a deep breath to calm her, “Illidan was a fool for not informing his idea to anyone... however... we can see to this that we can finally put an end to the Legion.”
RIP
Her entire body began to quake. Her long hair disheveled, blood and sweat caked on her face. Liadrin could feel her very life fleeting as her blood started to pull around her. Her soaked hand reached out as she desperately began to drag herself through the mud. “I. cannot. FALL!” she growled, using the last bit of her strength to bring herself to her feet.
“The Light... will...” she coughed violently. never minding the spear that had pierced through her vital organs. Crimson liquid oozed from the corner of her mouth. “The Light...” she collapsed down onto her knees.
Her hands caught her strong body, speaking aloud to herself, “I betrayed the Prince... and this is how I fall... perhaps.” her teeth grit tightly, “The Light has truly forsaken the Sin’dorei.” Tears began to well at the corner of her eyes as her form finally collasped onto the mud. Her blood continued to flow freely. Her words became weaker, “I had thought... by turning... against Kael’thas I had...” she struggled to keep her eyes open.
Liadrin’s world became black once her very last breath had been drawn.
Send “RIP” and I’ll write a drabble of my Muse dying.
Let’s see how many different ways I can kill them!

Liadrin felt her heart pause in her chest briefly as she took in a deep breath. Her fingers laced together and her brows pinched tightly. “When I think on when we faced Elisande, the words she spoke. It’s true, I understood what she was going through and her decisions.” That pause turned into a sinking feeling and she gave a slight shake of her head. “And sometimes I sit back and think, if I had not been who I was, I would not have turned to forgiveness. I would have followed the prince.” Then she let out a bitter laughter and it turned it into a smile. “But… I think we have come far, and i am proud of what we have accomplished.”

“The Grand Magistrix initially had the best intentions for her people, but that faded away when she began to starve, exile and murder her own people. She stooped from saving her people to saving herself. You are nothing like her.”
Anierous smiled at her assuringly, “You are who you are. You choose to side with your people in a heartbeat. You ALWAYS acted that way. This is why I, and so many others, admire you and are ready to follow you into the gates of Argus itself.”

Liadrin held herself with much pride, with her broad shoulders pulled back, the armor hinting at her subtly toned body, A strong woman through and through. “And I do know of the militia you joined, I have had asked Lord Solonar to keep the reports for me, only to ensure they have a benefit for our people as well. Too often we’re just used as mere pawns with no gain for the Sin’dorei.” Her lips curled slightly but she shook her head quickly, brown hair swaying in her pony tail.
“Ahem, I digress. Leysong... I suppose maybe I just had a few concerns. You did point out that your Knight Lord has written beyond...glowing reviews for you. Even before your recent injury.” She looked down tot he sloppy handwriting. “At least, from what I am able to read.”
Liadrin’s expression twisted into something a little more serious. “My concern is that I have... heard some rumors and for a while now.”

Liadrin began to move through the paperwork that had been neatly skewed across the desk. Her fingers picking them into one precise pile and then she started to flip through them. “I have noticed through all the paperwork... you had some difficulties with your previous Knight Lords. You held the Adept rank for quite some time.”
Her finger lightly tapped along the table then, her green eyes downcast for a second before they drew back up to stare at Vylris. “Now, don’t take my next question wrong. I have had plenty of troublesome Knights. That was the entirety of this order when it began.” she let out a slight chuckle, “But, what has changed within you? It couldn’t just be your Knight Lord, could it?”
“Lord Theron has come a long way. A man who hated politics but was so willing to become Warchief when he felt slighted by Garrosh’s horde. He doubts himself way too much, wouldn’t you agree?” Her smirk grew more into a grin at that point, as she eased back in her chair and let out a soft sigh.

“He is a fine leader, one who made a harsh transition, and had to lord over the hardest times in our history. I don’t think we could’ve asked for a finer man to head us.”
The champion looked at Liadrin, “Once this war is over, if there is still an Azeroth to live on, the sin’dorei need to take a new path. Our encounter with the shal’dorei was proof enough.”
Liadrin felt her heart pause in her chest briefly as she took in a deep breath. Her fingers laced together and her brows pinched tightly. "When I think on when we faced Elisande, the words she spoke.
