Hey there! There isn’t going to be a Summer Matsu Games this year as all of our GMs have been busy on holidays. As for another Winter one... we’ll see! There’ll likely be another one so stay tuned.

I wanted to share with you all one of my favourite movies, a film noir about a mafioso that’s trying to join a new gang, but his old family isn’t too happy about it! I’d just share the whole movie, but, ya know, uploading videos like that’s kinda illegal~ So I hope some of the movie posters and the DVD cover will sway you to buy it. New Episode!:The Horseman of Akatsuka A young upstart cowboy, Jyushimatsu (voiced by Daisuke Ono), wants to join in on the bronco riding craze. But he doesn’t want to mount a bucking horse– he wants to be the bucking horse! Everyone calls him crazy – after all, humans can’t just become horses. But Jyushimatsu is determined to achieve his dream of being the best stallion this side of the valley, no matter what.

Under the guidance of a mysterious and spirited young woman (voiced by Houko Kuwashima), Jyushimatsu goes through the long, tedious, and very painful journey of training to become a horse. He and his new friend brave staunch opposition - especially from the Bronco Belles, the rodeo’s resident gang of bronco riding cowgirls - the harsh desert environment, and the limits of human anatomy in order to reach that faraway goal. This high-energy “romantic” comedy stars Chibita, an enthusiastic oden chef, who feels bitter that his childhood friends, a group of sextuplet brothers, don’t seem to care about him anymore. They often visit his stand to eat his food, but they never pay any attention to him. He worries that they never cared about him to begin with, only his cooking. However, a tragic event involving the loss of something dear will open up his eyes to the truth. He comes to realize that all he ever wanted was to have them around. Now, he’s determined to hunt down each and every one of the brothers to show them just how much he cares about them, even if it means force feeding them the very oden they seem to love so much. Will Chibita be able to express his feelings for his best friends? Full of joy and ready with his homemade cooking, he intends to do just that.

Team Choromatsu would like to present their Challenge 5 submission, titled as The Incident. This is one of the most anticipated horror films of the fandom year, and will have you pulling out your hair the entire time.

Synopsis:

Five brothers must survive a night of horror after they succumb to the wrath of their brother after they mock him for his new haircut. Trapped in a house with the madman, Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu must fight for their lives and their sanity in this terrifying film that’ll make you want to curl up and dye.

With the grisly murder of Inspector Matsuno Todomatsu, Chibita is the new investigator on the beat studying a string of arsons turned homicides in his hometown of Mamurogawa, with a more experienced (though eccentric) detective, Osomatsu. Though Chibita is determined and Osomatsu is charming, they’re coming up with no leads… until they notice a cab that seems to have been at the scene of multiple fires, according to eyewitnesses. 

Now Chibita and his sempai must race against the clock to catch this rogue taxi driver and bring him to justice. With the only clues being empty bottles of perfume, all with the label Ignition, hidden away in the fires, they don’t have much time before the next crime… ignites.

In a connected story, a young Yowai Totoko has just started her new job at a local cafe, after her last workplace was victim to one of the fires…and the manager with it. With her house being far from the train station and the lurking danger of an arsonist on the loose, she figures it’s wise to call a cab for when she needs to get places … This summer, Team Karmatsu and MOUTH Productions introduces us to IGNITION, the horror story that will get a little hot in the backseat.
