Matt Holt considered himself to be a rational person. Think before you speak, treat everyone decently regardless of how you feel about them, don’t let emotions cloud your judgement. That’s what he’d always lived by. He’d figured that, even if he hypothetically saw a woman so beautiful she made him cry, he’d at least have the presence of mind to have a normal conversation with her so as not to come off as a complete idiot.

honestly this is such a precious ship because you just know matt would love doting on allura and spoiling her meanwhile allura is the definition of unwavering love and support. matt would spend so much time trying to explain memes to allura and lbr she probably wouldn’t understand a lot of them but they would end up coming up with new even better memes.

They’re both super affectionate and mushy with each other. It’s almost sickening.

Couple’s outfits are most definitely a thing with them.

Usually they don’t have to end up spending money to go on dates; one of their favorite things to do is stargaze. If they’re together, they’re happy.

When they do go out, however, their favorite date locations are amusement parks, arcades, bowling alleys, indoor trampoline parks, and zoos.

Sometimes they’ll go on double dates to any of those with Pidge and Lance or Hunk and Romelle.

In the fall, going to pumpkin patches and apple orchards is a must. (I imagine the pumpkin patch being like the one I usually go to; it has ziplines!)

Matt likes horror movies, but he gets squeamish when it comes to gore, so he often prefers psychological thrillers.

Allura likes those as well, but she surprisingly doesn’t mind gore as much once introduced to the genre. Certain things that are considered taboo to Earthlings aren’t as strange to Alteans.

so, i posted this on my other account, but it doesn’t get attention so i’m sharing it here.

i had this mallura (yes, i ship it. fight me) “headcanon”, if you want to call it that, and i want to share it.

a few months after they meet, matt confesses his love for allura by playing “can’t help falling in love” by elvis. allura always had a small crush on matt once she officially met him, so she accepted his confession and they started dating a little while after. while dating, matt and allura would always play “can’t help falling in love” as a reminder of how much they love each other.

a few years later, matt leaves a note in allura’s room saying “meet me in the main control room”. allura decides to do what her boyfriend asked and she headed to the main control room. outside the doors, allura could hear a familiar tune. she opens the door, the only source of light in the room are candles surrounding the middle of the room, where matt stood. allura recognized the tune as the song that brought her and matt together. once the song ends, matt walks up to allura and gets down on one knee.

“princess allura, will you make me the luckiest man in the whole galaxy, and marry me?”
