Don’t be fooled, goodness is not rare It is soft spoken. It doesn’t boast or yell like the darkness and chaos of the world.We must open our eyes and acknowledge goodness, and we do that by showing gratitude. Without gratitude we cannot remember goodness, because we have nothing to hold onto it with.

PIP Time

I used to think of approaching a politician and elected officials like I was going to go speak to the manager, with hesitation. I’ve reassessed this approach: in a democracy, they should act much more as employees. I need to have a word about the subpar work performance of my employees, and put them on a performance improvement plan. You do too. Contact them today and let them know their job performance is unacceptable and there will be cuts in their department if they don’t turn things around immediately.

Lessons I Would Teach My Child Self: Be Yourself

When we open our souls and show another or the world who we are, we hope for acceptance, but we can’t expect it. We are part of a world that judges, and it is often unfair. We don’t change who we are because of someone; we stay who we are despite them. Changing ourselves to be accepted is not worth it. If someone can’t love you for who you are, they don’t deserve to love you. That’s their problem, not yours.

Fear is the muddy anticipation of loss. Yet, something profound happens when we come to terms with and accept that loss is an inherent part of our journey. We begin to understand the value of ourselves, our life, and our time. When we understand that we can control nothing but our choices, our outlook is unburdened, and we remain standing. Fear loses its power over our spirit, and courage glows brightly because there are no longer any unknowns left for us to fear.
