"Huh? An... intro?"
"Ah, wrong GIF... uh, ignoring that. Hi, dudes. My name's Matt Engarde.
And, uh... what was I supposed to say? Hold on, I'm gonna call my manager, OK?"
Ring ring...
"Oh... I'm supposed to end the intro."
You’re pregnant with twins.
Sorry. I don’t make the rules.
— Nobody, don’t worry about it
"So, like... if one baby is 9 months... does that mean twins means I have to wait 18 months, or?"
Mr Engarde!! may i have an autograph?
"Oh, sure!"
You have received; Matt Engarde's autograph
oh, really? richard is a fan of your work? that’s a bit surprising, i remember him saying something a while ago about finding all the samurai stuff ‘stupid’… hmm
"...Really? I mean, he acted like he didn't like my work, but he also praised me for a few scenes people wouldn't know unless they were a fan.
Maybe he's just a bit embarrassed. I don't hold it against him or anything... I'm actually glad the dude is still being supportive."
What's that scar from? (question for real matt)
"Hah, I've been asked this question a few times before, but it never hurts to repeat it.
It was my own fault. Sometimes you get a little... stressed, so to speak, you know?"
what are your thoughts on richard wellington?
"Oh, him? He's a bit chatty, but overall, he seems like a nice guy. I think he's a fan of mine."
I saw someone talking about those rumors, and you know what? Me personally, *I* wouldn't have any problems working with you. No particular reason just saying.
"Aww, thanks, dude."
"...What's the emoji for, though?"
Dude, I heard some nasty rumors about you… something about you being “difficult to work with” and “a total nightmare!” That can’t be true, right??
"Totally not, dude. People spread rumours all the time. Sometimes you just have to ignore them..."
Hey Matt, what’s the hardest part of being an actor? Especially since you’re on such a prolific show, it’s got to be difficult to handle such a demanding job!
"Yeah, it's really demanding. Your schedule's tight and stuff and you don't get any free time. The fame's nice, dude, but all the work kinda sucks..."
Someones telling yall about me! Nothing to Yoink here!
{pronouns kept :( }
-the fey
"You were trying to take my pronouns?! Not cool!"
May I have yur pronouns?
"...Like, you want me to lend them?"
"...Hey, dude. You're sort of crying in a corner here, and uh... I'd kind of be an ass if I didn't stop here. Everything OK?"
-- Matt Engarde (@mattengardedude)
Shaun doesnt acknowledge Matt at first, atleast not untill he lets out a sniffle. He slighty raises his head from hidding in his knees, he had curled himself on the corner so hed not be found but it was seemingly useless during that. He was also wearing his hoodie on, to mostly hide himself. “i.. its nothing just... Too much at the same time...” he mumbled. He buried his head back on his knees, just letting out small sniffles and sobs.
He seemed to have just gotten too much emotions at the same time, which left him an emotional wreck it seemed, poor little guy.
"Hey, hey... it's okay, little dude. I get that feeling sometimes, too."
Matt wasn't an expert on this kind of thing, but he'd be damned if he left a child to cry out here. Hesitantly, he sat down next to the kid, although still giving him personal space. When he was younger, the last thing he wanted was someone in his personal space.
"You wanna talk about it? Or just cry it out?"
He tilted his head, making sure his bangs were kept over his right eye. Last thing he wanted to do was scare the poor kid.
Shaun didnt even answer, his sobs and sniffles growing louder were enough of an answer, hed hope. He just stayed there sat, knees up his chest and his fave buried down on them, his arms wrapped around his legs while his whole body was gently shaking as he cried it all out. He would eventually calm down from crying, but itd still take a long while, there were too many emotions for him to even know how to respond or speak.
Eventually, Shaun calm down, his legs slowy falling down as he used his sleeve to clean his tears, a sob escaping his lips alongside a sniffle. “s-sorry...” he stuttered an apology, his voice quiet and shy, aswell barely audible from crying, he had no reason to apology, but he felt like he had to because Matt had found him crying and stayed there with him.
"Hey, it's okay, little man. Sometimes we just need to cry."
Matt was almost baffled by the child's apology. He could get where he was coming from, but really, he had no need to. He was the one that approached the boy, after all... he knew what he was getting into. Poor kid, though. Who left him crying this bad?
"I'm Matt Engarde. Just call me Matt, though, OK dude?"
He offered the best smile he could muster, although it came off as a little awkward. What do you even do in this situation?! He didn't know how to comfort a crying child! Usually HE was the "crying child" in most situations! Although, it seemed like the boy was calming down...
“ ... Shaun, Shaun Fenn...” Shaun presented himself, sniffles still escaping him here ajd there as he looked at Matt, using his sleeve to clean the remaining tears as they finally stopped coming, or Shaun simply managed to force them to stop falling while he was at it. He crossed his legs, taking in matts appearence as he used his sleeve to clean his nose from crying, his eyes felt dry from crying. But it was normal, he had hust cried it all out.
“it’s... Nice to meet you...” he mumbled his words as he looked bad down to the floor, having his hoodie and hair cover his face. Actually, how did the hoodie even manage to hide the horns he always had on aswell? Who knew. They just hid alongside most his hair. It was kinda warm.inside his hoodie, it was like a comfort spot for Shaun. “why.. are you here...?” he suddenly question. Well, no one usually went in there so, why was matt there? Or how did matt even spot shaun?
"Nice to meet you, too, dude."
Shaun fenn... he could've sworn he heard the name before. Wasn't he an actor of some sort? Matt remembered when he first started acting, and yet, he wasn't quite as young as the boy in front of him was at the time. The movie industry could be incredibly stressful, especially for someone that barely seemed to be into their teens. Was that why he was crying?
He was tempted to ask, but the other had already questioned his presence. Truthfully, the brunette just wanted a moment of silence, away from the persona he put up and the constant scolding Andrews gave him. He wasn't sure if he should say that or give some other excuse, though.
"Just wanted a little quiet time, you know?"
He wasn't technically lying, right? Engarde brought his knees up to his chest, wrapping his arms around his legs.
"Then I saw you, and... well, it'd be mean to leave a little dude crying without asking if he's OK."
“... Makes sense..” he sniffled, looking ahead and letting his hair cover hos face, sniffles still escaping his lip while he rubbed his eyes, they hurted him alot for crying, hed be fine in the end of it. He took a shaky deep breath and leaned against the wall behind him, still looking at the floor and gently shaking still from... Well, everything. It was still all overwhelming and alls, he needed to get a grip of himself on the world around him so he was fully fine again.
“and y-yeh... I get it...” he said in a shaky way, his voice still mostly low and trembly from all the crying. How dumb of a child was he trully? He didnt know.
Matt looked in his pockets, luckily managing to find a tissue. He handed it to Shaun, hoping he could blow his nose or wipe his tears away. He couldn't help but wonder just what got the kid to be so upset. He was beginning to believe it wasn't just the stress of being an actor like he first assumed.
"You mind if I ask you what happened?"
He paused momentarily. Not everyone will want to open up to a stranger. Just to be sure, he quickly added;
"You don't have to tell me, of course. But... y'know, just curious."
Shaun took the tissue, and using it to blow his nose, for his eyes hed keep using his sleeves, no matter how wet they got in the end of it all, he didnt care for it hed ask his mom later.to wash his hoodie asap. For now he just needed to focus on getting himself calmed down and not think too much abt it. “... I just...” he began, but the words died as soon as they left his lips, and he took a shrudding breath aswell.
“... This person i thought was my friend was just... Using me for some kind of plan...” he said, with a shaky sigh, and without even noticing the tears built once more on his eyes and fell, his lips parted as he kept looking down, his hair hidding his face with the help of his hoodie.
Using a kid for a plan was a bitchy move. Sure, he may or may not have used Celeste as a means to one-up Juan, but she was an adult and he'd already broken up with her. A child was a different story. They were still learning how to navigate the world... why use them like they're a tool?
"A plan, huh? Man, that sucks. I'm sorry for you, dude."
Still, the boy's words worried him. What kind of plan was this mystery person coming up with? If they didn't stop at using kids as pawns, who else would they use, and what would they try to achieve? His eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"...Did they say what kinda plan they're using you for? 'Cause using a kid is a shi-... mean move to pull, especially if you thought they were your friend."
"...Hey, dude. You're sort of crying in a corner here, and uh... I'd kind of be an ass if I didn't stop here. Everything OK?"

Did you really think you could escape, did you forget who you are messing with, you broke my trust and contract, hope you should know I’m outside your place…
