while I think Midnight Mass is a long-form masterpiece told exactly how it was meant to be told, I do sometimes wish it was a movie, just so it would get the recognition it so deserves. a lot of people don’t have the patience for the slower episodes that make the payoff at the end so impactful, but horror fans will watch a long slow movie if it has a good payoff
It irritates me that our patience has eroded so much that not only do we not want to take our time with stories, we don't even want to ingest them.
