              Normal. Or whatever Matt could get--The closest 'normal' he could actually achieve was keeping to himself; speaking only while spoken to, doing his job--how simple it was just to be a bus boy, and by the end of the night retreating back to his run down home only to feast upon a single bag of blood.

       It was when you no longer saw them as mistakes or anything bad at all that worry should start to kick in.

      “Hopefully though you’ll have Rebekah at some point to help you through some of this."  

                "Yeah... She's... I don't know where she is." He stopped himself to laugh softly. "Feels like I'm losing all the girls in my life. Rebekah's AWOL... Caroline's humanity is gone... And uhm--"
