I think it’s time for a proper introduction. If I could please speak with Paul, Jessica, Brooklyn, Delaney, and Matthew and if you gentlemen have the chance could I also see Caden, Caleb, and Collin? And if anyone has seen Kade, can you send him my way?

“Can someone show me to the cafeteria please?”
“Yeah, I can show you! It’s not too far from here.”
“Yeah but… couldn’t you… I dunno… at least have told me? Warn a guy before you change his entire wardrobe okay?”
“I mean, I guess I could of.. I guess I forgot to. Hey, it’s a new fashion statement, they’ll look good on you! Goodbye boring whites and hello clean red shirt!”
“…. Are you serious? Couldn’t you have just done your own load?”
“One shirt isnt a load, Paul. I wanted a shirt done, I didnt know it would do that to your clothes..”
“Who decided that it was a good idea to put their stuff in my laundry? Not cool guys.”
“I really wanted my red shirt washed..”
“Alright no dance party I understand.” Keenan looked at the boy for a second. “Are you okay?”
Matthew bit his lip. “Oh yeah, I’m fine..” He smiled fakely. “Are you okay?”
“You have to pay to go to school after high school. And the government and banks will give you money to do it, but you have to pay them back. Plus some extra. And it takes awhile to pay them back.”
“Why would someone do that? That sounds so awful..” Matthew shook his head. “How about no one ever goes? Then what happens?”
She shook her head. “Nope. No death arenas in the real world. There’s just student debt and that’s the scariest thing I’ve found so far.”
“Student debt..” He repeated. “What is student debt?”
“ Well Matty, sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone. Here look I.. um borrowed this from the music room.” He pulled out a smaller cd player and a few cds. “I’ll even let you pick out what we can listen too. You don’t have to be nervous.”
Matthew nodded his head and looked at the cd. He was about to take it from him but stopped, quickly pulling his hand away. He wanted to do it, but he was too scared and didnt want to start panicking. “I’m um, I’m okay, thank you.”
“No, not… not in that way. But the message happens, sure. Fear being a form of control.”
“Making them fear that much is awful, no one deserves that, though..”
“No, it doesn’t happen. It’s just a story. Like the boogeyman. Or Cinderella. It didn’t actually happen.”
“Oh...” He looked back down at his book. “That’s a really good thing. I thought once I moved out of here, I’d have to do that..”
Matthew put the book down and shook his head. “Is the Hunger Games true? Does this really happen?”

I could never hate any of my siblings.. but I’m very upset with her. What she is doing is selfish and it’s going to get us all hurt.
When you get home what do you think is going to happen to your family
I think my parents are going to hate us and be really really upset with us and try to hurt us. Well.. all but Leah, I think she will be fine.

“All you do is move your body with the rhythm of the music. I’m not going to be your one man show, and surly not with out any music.” He laughed and grabbed the boy pulling him up to his feet. “Besides you have to get up on your feet to learn how to dance, Kid.”
“Awww, come on! I could play the piano!” Matthew said with a pout and stood up as the male pulled him up. “My name’s Matthew, by the way. People call me Matty.” He told him so that he didnt have to call him ‘kid’. “Oh no no no, I dont want to learn. I’m nervous.”
