“Hey,” Maude snapped, traveling the familiar floor in even strides to pause in front of the last remaining customer of the evening, “We closed a half hour ago… I can get you one last drink if you really want one, but after that you need to leave.” People who stuck around this late usually didn’t do it for the drinks, or the shitty bar food, but just to avoid something. Maude wasn’t particularly skilled at figuring out who did what however, so she tried not to assume anything.
