Opposed to his initial thought, his night with the redhead in his bed hadnât quite cut it, so he went out for a run early in the morning, to blow off some more steam, using his charming smile to convince a cute, petite blonde for a quicky in the restroom of his favourite coffee shop.
After his morning exercise he was ready for the office, wearing one of his best navy suits, accentuating his broad shoulders and back. Before his driver dropped him off at the large glass tower where their offices were located, he made his way to Leilaâs place, making sure she wasnât mad enough to show up at the office, bringing Leila her favourite coffee. He knew that after their last call, she must have thought that she would lose her job and one of her best friends. Once the air between them was cleared, he left for the office, ordering a bouquet of her favourite flowers to be delivered to her doorstep. He knew that he could be a fucking difficult asshole and Leila had stuck around him much longer than most others, so if nothing else came from this mess, at least he was reminded that he should show her his appreciation more often.
When he made his way to his office he was later than usual, walking past Viennaâs office he saw that she wasnât in yet, creating a frown on his face.
Yes, last night was something different, but he thought that she would have finally learned that if she wasnât stepping up her game fast, sheâd be fucked and not in a fun way.
In preparation for the morning meeting, he was sorting out assignments, choosing the work for the team. Usually it was a task he shared with Leila, but with her still knocked out, he had to do it alone.
Entering the meeting room, he made it to his place at the head of the table, eyes wandering around to look for her and when his gaze found her, the frown washed yet again over his face, only for the blink of an eye, but then a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, realizing the game she was playing.
âGood morning, peopleâ, he greeted his team, handing out assignments and explaining the current tasks at hand, handing Vienna not only the documents from yesterday but also giving her two new assignments that were fitting for an intern, though challenging.
Well, wasn't he a good actor. The morning meeting went as per usual; Vienna didnât pay much attention, but this time her mind was filled with thought of him than whatever she usually was thinking about. The way he stood in front of everyone, confident and oozing authority. He started handing out the assignments and when she was the pile heâd handed her; with yesterdayâs document in the front, she let out a sigh, barely audible. Great.
The day went on and after lunch she went into the copy room to scan some invoices; could she be handed a more boing task? Ugh. After getting through a bunch of papers, sheâd almost reached the end as none other than Ferdinand entered. Instead of asking why someone like him would need the printer, she decided to push the limits even further. âPrinterâs taken,â She said and smiled at him in a very non-genuine way.Â
âHow was you evening, by the way? You look refreshed, did you finally catch up on your sleep?â Vienna kept playing with him; she had no plans impressing him anytime soon. At least not on a professional level. She removed one paper from the printer, opening another envelope. She couldnât possibly move any slower, making sure heâd be really frustrated with her.
