unhidden maxis objects with modified objects.package
for a while i've been using objects.package modified by me to unhide most objects that sims use during interactions and it's now a MUST HAVE for me when it comes to no cc decorating!
they're all in the decorative -> all category and cost 0$ except for sellable objects like those from flower station, sewing machine, etc (yes, i unlocked these as well!), those have their original price so they won't be at the beginning of the catalogue
objects don't disappear if you share a lot with someone, so it's really cool for custom neighborhoods and lots

this file doesn't go into the Downloads folder, so please don't place it there, for this to work you have to replace the original objects.package here:
Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSData\Res\Objects (if you have Ultimate Collection or Legacy Collection the Mansion and Garden folder is called SP9)
i dunno if there's any potential consequences, but i recommend having a backup of the original objects.package file in case something goes south, personally my game is fine though and it's been like a year since i've modified the file

21.02.2026 - first update - added fish, utensils, crops, trash/leaf piles, weeds, roaches, etc; to change a crop's quality use testingcheats -> shift + right click on the crop -> change material (works only on some crops, not all, but that's outside of my control)
These are 4to2 conversions from SixamCC, low poly, all recolors.
Changing table and Crib are functional, the rest is just deco.

maybe I live under a rock and this is common knowledge amongst simmers already, but I just stumbled upon Simblr.cc and I'm in awe. I haven't seen a new site like this in a good long while, It's got so many resources so I thought I should shout it out here
As requested by @jellymeduza I'm sharing my tweak of @dreadpirate's fabulous Maxis Match lighting mod. This makes the unlit rooms during dawn and dusk a bit brighter (closer to how they appear at nighttime) and tweaks the colour-cast a bit too. The photos above are all four time of day states including with my tweaks - but nothing about day or night was actually changed from the original MM lighting mod.
Below are all the before and after pictures for dawn/dusk next to each other - before is the MM lighting mod "out of the box" and after is with my tweaks.
How to install:
Download the Maxis Match lighting mod exactly as per dreadpirates instructions. (don't worry about the part on enabling or disabling dawn and dusk states, that will be included in my edit)
Replace your lighting.txt file with mine included in this download - this will be in your base game install folders, for the UC the file path is "Double Deluxe/Base/TSData/Res/Lights" and you'll be overwriting the lighting.txt file in there with mine.

Edited to add: If you downloaded the Maxis Match lighting mod after March 2, 2025 these fixes are not required - @/veronavillequiltingbee has incorporated them into the main lighting mod files.
So, I kind of goofed and didn't look at the 4t2 CAS Conversion Archive before converting the boxer shorts. MDP already converted it 😅 So, to not waste my efforts I went ahead and used my conversion to make elder and teens + some plain recolors.
a simple set of four low-cut dresses with bras under, inspired by this look. Mesh & texture base by @mdpthatsme, textures are a mix of stuff by Bruno & HystericalParaoxysm. AF only, binned as formal and everyday wear. 4 swatches.

I had a bit of a vision to turn the H&M tube dress into a strappy dress over a t-shirt on Yuxi's mesh with trainers, but when I looked at the default mesh in simpe... it was a bit of a mess. The mesh was duplicated and so the package was twice as big as it needed to be, but I'm not too surprised, as that's not uncommon with older default replacements. That led to me actually making a completely new mesh which has the dress and shoes in different texture groups, so texture space can be cut down by repo'ing them! I ended up working off @rudhira's mesh edit, so the shape is a bit nicer, too.
First, the shoeswap- for TF and AF, everyday only, the dress on both the custom and default versions is repo to H&M, so that is required. the shoes are all repo to the package 'HM_tubedress_trainers_REQ_shoetex', so make sure you include that in your downloads. I also pinned the custom version to H&M. the default version is pretty much just a more optimized version of Artemida's default, which is fun ^^ it replaces both afbodytubetopsandals and tfbodytubetopsandals, the mesh polycount clocks in at 1958, TF has a fat morph and AF has both morphs.

now for my new textures; the dress is a combination of the H&M textures and Yuxi's Tsuki dress, with straps from BG. I popped a t-shirt underneath which is an edit of MDP's plain tee textures. 10 colours, three based on maxis', 6 Aelia retro colours, and one in Aelia's lonesome cream. I called it 'late summer', and it was definitely seasonal when I made it, but not so much now, so put the emphasis on 'late'.
You can have them on three different meshes; on the H&M tube dress mesh with the strappy sandals, everyday only, H&M required. Standalone, or with TF repo to AF.

I also went ahead and edited Yuxi's Tsuki dress to use my mesh, so you don't need similar outfits with different meshes, and the shape is a bit nicer, too, with a better fat morph. Everyday only, standalone, or with TF repo to AF. Don't forget to add the trainer texture package to your folder, unless you are using my default with trainers, as it’s included in that.

Lastly, I made some texture-only defaults using both my Late Summer and edit of Yuxi's Tsuki textures, you can use them by themselves to keep the sandals, or combine them with my trainers shoeswap default above as its repo. If you use the Tsuki textures in combination with the trainers, it'll pretty much be a more efficient version of Marja's default ^^

Everything's compressorized, with meshes in the zips. I have a few more big projects I need to upload, and it's taking forever, aha. My own fault for not doing it as I go, though.
This is the second part of wanting cute gym wear, so this time I combined the Sandra Top V4 and Sandra Leggings V1, from Boschiana cc Sportswear Collection.
