“Naturally, you don’t take bad photos, how could I forget?” Poppy leaned her elbows on the table, smirking. “I mean, only you could trip down the stairs and still look like a super model.” She was, of course, referencing the infamous frat party at the beginning of the semester from which they both walked away with their fair share of bad photos and drunken mistakes. “Not to mention that time, when was it – December? – that you got ketchup on your upper lip and no one told you until after class. I’d say that’s been your most glamorous look yet.”
Maya let out a laugh, remembering the particular photo where she was on her butt at the foot of the stairs, limbs pointing at every direction with her face squinched. “The real secret of avoiding embarrassing photos is to own up to them. Believe it’s the best photo in the world and the world will follow,” Maya relayed, “Also to always pretend like you’re laughing. Because you can’t go wrong with that.” She ended with a small wink as Poppy mentioned the ketchup incident. “Oh yeah, I think that was around the time the rumor circulated that I got into a bitch fight because people thought I had a busted lip. They never knew who the other bitch was so they assumed I got rid of her and used my connections to keep it from spreading in the news. Good times.”
