And I kissed her, I kissed her like her neck was a river, and I’d been so thirsty. I kissed her like our lips were two lost souls who just found each other. I kissed her hard, cause we both knew I’d been wanting to do that for a very long time.

Turns out I can eat fries with one hand and type with the other. But I can use one of those hands to do something else if you want.
Of course I'm not hitting on you. Don't make it weird.
Well if we’re playing the blame game, you made it weird first. Don’t you have fries to eat or something?
Nah, I wouldn't mess that up. I don't think.. Yeah, no, I'm talking about you. Finally filled that bra I see.
Mohammed, are you... hitting on me? You’re like 50.
Wow, Matlin. You've grown up. How you doing?

⊰ *! MAYA. ⊱
Over-worn sneakers scuff carelessly against the floor the school hallway, a guitar case in tote as he makes his trek from one side of the school to the other. The ( school ) day was over now, and Miles’ next task was to make it to band practice on time. However, his once targeted mind was distracted as he heard a familiar and B E A U T I F U L melody escaping the school’s communal music room. His feet come to a stop as his grip on the guitar case slung over his shoulder tightens tremendously. Forest optics peak through the small square window that allows his line of vision to hone in on a small petite blonde wrapped around a cello. A faint smile appears on his features as he becomes trance like at the sight in front of him. As she continues to play the chosen song, he continues to watch in amazement — hoping she wouldn’t see him intruding on her private practice.
Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1 – she had probably practiced it a t h o u s a n d times, but yet she still couldn’t say she was satisfied with the result. Her fingers would have been aching if it wasn’t for the calluses that had formed on all of her fingers from the years she had been playing. People would say that her sister was the persistent and perfectionist one of the family, but she was certainly both of those in her own right. She wasn’t entirely sure why she had chosen the cello out of all instruments; perhaps it was the way the bow eased and back and forth across the strings, creating such melodies that brought her peace in the moments where her life was only the opposite. Skipping last period had become a routine for her the past few days, simply because she wouldn’t rest until she got this piece RIGHT. One day she was planning on joining a professional orchestra, she couldn’t start being lazy. Closing her eyes and listening and feeling every note being played, she lost focus of everything except for the music. It was only when she heard a sound nearby ( conveniently right when she was about to get the most difficult part of the song ) did she stop in haste, the legs of the chair scratching against the floor as she turned around in her seat. Immediately, the feeling of solidarity was lost as she realized someone was watching her. She recognized him, but she couldn’t quite pinpoint where from – she wasn’t exactly the most social person at her school and didn’t spend much time out of the music room. Her gaze quickly shifted away from him in nervousness, not entirely sure what she should do next – she couldn’t figure out if she was embarrassed that someone had been watching her, or angry that he had disrupted her practice. So instead of approaching the familiar stranger, she instead began picking up and packing away her cello, not wanting to play while she had watching eyes over her.

&&. MAYA PAPAYA
Knuckles turned white, a shade of crimson coated Imogen’s cheeks. Her gaze alternated from the windshield and the surrounding parked cars. Wiser decisions had been been made on her part, but she wanted a moment of pure and unadulterated happiness. The latter seemed less feasible considering the direction their last interaction had gone in person. A kiss had been shared. It was immensely sweet, one that left the bespectacled woman longing; however, it could never be just as simple as that. F i o n a. Before far too many people, the duo had pledged their love for one another; and only one of them had remained faithful. Carrying on with the facade had began its toll on her. Although, proof couldn’t be found for her wife’s infidelities, she knew it to be true in her heart. Now, and for months, she had been genuinely unhappy. Smitten Maya single-handedly brought back from the depths of her solitary despair. Becoming reliant on the younger woman wasn’t fair, but she so selfishly and wholeheartedly NEEDED this.
No longer drowning in her doubt, she made her way inside the overtly familiar arcade. A seemingly infinite amount of hours had vanished here. Oftentimes Katie had joined them, but occasionally she and Maya had gone alone. It was those moments Imogen was granted a glimpse of who she was. Without her sister harping on her, she had witnessed smiles that she’d since learned were reserved for her. Reminiscent of their younger years, she felt an unfamiliar flutter. It was odd. Until Katie’s wedding she’d never once thought of Maya in that manner. The girl was her best friend’s little sister for Christ’s sake. Furthermore, she was married and had been for the past couple of years. Still, here she was inside a place from her childhood looking for peace of mind, just as she’d done when she and her mother had fought. What’s worse is that she came expectant of happiness an unexpected source. Maya. Upon finally seeing her, a shy smile forged its way across her delicate olive features.
Never had Maya Matlin been as confused but happy as she currently was. All she could think about since her sister’s wedding was the artsy and quirky brunette who just happened to be Katie’s best friend. For a long time she had a crush on her, but that’s all it was – a crush, never to be acted upon or spoken of anywhere other than her own t h o u g h t s. The younger Matlin wouldn’t label herself as any sort of sexuality; all she knew was that her feelings for Imogen Moreno were only getting stronger as the days passed by. She thought she could finally have the chance to be honest after their kiss at the wedding, but that was brought down by the married woman who pretty much acted as if the whole thing was just a drunken mistake. Maya may have had a few drinks, but she still felt the same way as she always had the next morning. She still daydreamed about the laughing, dancing and running away from groomsmen at the wedding, however she dreaded that they would only ever be memories, instead of adventures she could build upon.
Their f a v o u r i t e game – she walked right up to it like it was subconsciously. Katie had always hated this game, but Maya and Imogen were always more alike anyways; that’s probably why the younger girl always attached herself to her sister and tagged along on their outings, even when there was protesting a lot of the time. The brunette was almost like a piece of art to her; she would look and try to decipher the beauty, but never actually get close enough to figure out the full meaning. She may have been the annoying little sister, but she would always play that role if it meant getting to spend time with her. So, when she was invited to the arcade, the mix of emotions came even more to the surface. She had been hurt after the wedding when she’d been rejected, but maybe she was getting a second chance. Either way, her anxiety was through the roof, the only thing calming her being the noises coming from the arcade game and the challenge to get to the next level. A d i s t r a c t i o n could never be a bad thing, right? Finally, she saw her walk in the door. She had come extra early to make sure she wouldn’t miss her, and she was glad she didn’t because her entire face lit up as soon as she saw her. Instantly forgetting about the game she was playing, she gave a small wave and then motioned her to come over to where she was. She didn’t want to be too desperate, after all.
“How’ve you been?” the girl asked, trying to forget the way their last conversation had ended. If she hoped enough, maybe things changed. Out of habit, she reached out and gave Imogen a quick hug, forgetting that their relationship was currently supposed to be awkward to say the least.

Zig: it's the least i can do you know since you're really good with... everything. it only two took you forever to figure that out.
Zig: That's sweet babe but would it really be bertha still if she's new? maybe it can be b2 or bjr? that's too close to bj which i kinda want one.
Maya: Jeez, no need to flatter me, Novak. I know, I know. We're here now though, right?
Maya: Call it - or her - whatever you want, Ziggy. Hurry up and get here and we'll see.
maya ❤
Zig: Should I get doritos, too? Who wants to eat green foods? It looks like poop.
Zig: Ok! Got it. I'll be there soon. I'm taking Bertha so it might be a while soon.
Maya: I mean, if you feel like being super duper nice to me, then go for it. True words never spoken, mon amour. You get me.
Maya: One day I'm going to buy you a new 'Bertha' for your birthday or something so you can actually get places on something that isn't a century old. Okay, though.
maya ❤
Zig: What? That's so dumb. You're not fat. S'mores?
Maya: I just want my doritos and pop-tarts, not broccoli and carrots.
Maya: Of course, you know that's the best kind.
maya ❤
Zig: I know you can.
Zig: Ok! Ok! I'm coming.
Maya: Bring pop-tarts! Tris stole all of mine because he wanted me to go on a health kick with him. I want a snack for after.
maya ❤
Zig: you could get it in check for me.
Zig: I only need a few minutes anyway.
Maya: I /definitely/ could.
Maya: Seriously? You better get over here before I uninvite you.
