🪷🏮Lotus Lantern Festival (Yeondeunghoe)🏮🪷

Remember last week how I said there was more to come?👀 ta da!

For @skpetals a couple of weeks ago, they did a mini event based off of festivals around the world. I chose to do Yeondeunghoe, which is done in celebration of the Buddha! The lotus lanterns are very prominent during the festival, because of their meaning, as well as Buddhism’s importance in shaman king, I thought it was fitting!

I actually had this first image sketched out back in January when I drew SanLori in hanbok for the cultural collab, and I wanted to so RenKi as well. I was waiting for this festival when petals announced their event and thought it was perfect timing!

For the second image I did a gift/trade with my friend /tornatore_sw (on IG) ‘s Noemi! I drew Noemi and Kiki together also enjoying the celebrations after the parade while lotus petals fall around them! I had so much fun designing Noemi’s hanbok!

Little sneak peak of what’s to come. 👀 After drawing SanLori in hanbok, I said I was going to do the same for RenKi! Here we are! I honestly had a lot of fun researching the clothing. The colors I went back and forth on a lot! I wanted Kiki’s scheme to be inspired by a fox. 🦊

Though I felt bad that the Bason charm on Ren’s norigae isn’t fully visable, but hopefully it still comes across! I was so tempted to give him one of those traditional hats and have his tongari poke through it, but I chickened out and didn’t want to draw it 😂

Fun Fact: one of the earlier forms I do in taekwondo means pond or lake!

Meet Neha!

Yess, another Shaman King OC!

I wanted to draw her so badly lol

But who is she? She's a former competitive figure skater and Selene's figure skating coach. Actually, she works also as model.

She's a shaman and her Guardian Spirit is Mahamayura. Her shaman power is focused more on supporting and healing.

Neha's also part of Maya's friends' group as well.

I hope to draw her more often with the others :D

My oc Reika was born on the autumnal equinox as well (and my other boy Hisaki was born yesterday)! So this fall prompt was perfect for both of them! XD

SK Daily Sketch I didn’t noticed the canvas wasn’t straight but still the pose gave me more than a headache so it will be the one before the last I tried a different pose from the ones I always do so… well here have an interpretation of the best fight in the series

SK Daily Sketch: Sometimes I sketch like a human and some days like today one must do the job of the Gods, so to celebrate the new merch (which I can’t buy OTL) have Nichrom in the Graffart Autumn 2023 collection. Because we need more Patch on the Merch and God Hao knows this.

Well I have a drawing I will publish later but I really hate it eventhough it took me months so I return to the daily Nichrom sketches until I finish the canvas.

Always a happy Nichrom is nice to see. Who is he greeting it could be his brother? it could be the Patch priest and his healer whom use to babysit him? Could be Magna in Rue? Could it be Ren? Or maybe Selene in other AU’s? Well that’s up to you, but here take a happy greeting Nichrom.

As well as a bit of Yohane, my ocs Kuu, Lyrica, and Hisaki (a couple ocs I have yet to really talk about publicly, but know that they are all SKF generation! 👀)

Fun fact: It was Watermelon Day in Japan a few days ago and I intended to do a quick sketch of Reika enjoying some for that since it’s her favorite fruit, but I ended up making it a whole thing—which became this entire piece. 😆
