Join us on a colourful week with colours and words picked for this micro event by the three Petals mods!
This event is designed to be inclusive, flexible, and creatively supportive. Participation is for fun only and participation isn’t a requirement to be a beloved member of our bouquet here at SKPetals.
Event Duration: 30th May - 7th June
🌸 Canon characters from the Shaman King Universe
🌸 Original characters (OCs)
🌸 Alternative universe (AU) versions of canon characters and/or OCs
🌸 Ships (canon, fanon, ocxcc, etc)
Participants are encouraged to reimagine SHAMAN KING within the theme!
Your creation can be anything themed around the colours or the word prompts that the mods have chosen. You can check the colour palettes at the end of this post and the words by scrolling further down.
What is expected you to do in this event
This theme encourages our creators to pick one of the palettes presented for the theme and produce a piece of work using said palette. It is a creative theme designed for you to step out of your comfort zones by having you to focus on values (lightness and darkness) and colour relationships.
Can I mix and match all three palettes?
Please do not mix and match the palettes, pick just one out of the three palettes and stick to that one.
Am I only allowed to use that palette?
No, you may use other colours outside the palettes, but the idea is that the colours of the palette stick out in your art!
This theme encourages our Petals members to pick one or more of the words presented for the theme and produce a written work (short, long, poetry, you choose!) using that word as an inspiration. Use your imagination, write within a canon timeline, an AU, whatever you wish for!
Do I have to use all the words from the set I choose?
No, it is not mandatory to use all the words, just pick one (or more if you desire so) and use it as the source of inspiration for your written work.
Do I have to include the palette and the words in the same work?
No, you do not. The mods prefer if you choose one theme for the fic and another for the art.
Do I have to do both challenges (art and writing)?
You do not! If you want, you can participate in both challenges but only do what you're comfortable with, do not give yourself a burn out!

Participants may submit more than one entry per prompt, there is no limit! Submissions can be anything creative!
