“ okay, so. ” grace is looking at the festival’s schedule on her phone, a firm believer that fun can be organised. —— or, at least, it can be when she’s on the events management team. “ we have to be back at the main stage for six, but everything else is free game until then. what do you want to do ? have you seen the hair braiding stand ? that was my idea — the glitter beads have been a major hit already. ” 

“Girl– no. I haven’t brushed my hair today and I don’t want to be on YouTube for breaking every brush at those goddamn braiding stands.” She said, pushing her hair to the back. “Can we just like... finesse drinks out of men? Or women. Whatever works. I’m thirsty still!”

He didn’t know much about Providence; but he was slowly learning people had their fair shares of bad pasts or just overall shit experience. Noah wanted to ask her why, but it seemed like a personal matter. “It’s funny how everyone seems to dislike this place for some reason.”

Wiping down the counter before him, she let out a small scoff as she scrubbed down the white counter. “It’s always a personal thing, right? Mine isn’t as deep as others, though. I’m just a brat.”

He was thirsty more than anything, as he was a little groggy from working a majority of the night and then deciding to not sleep too much into the day. “What beverage do you recommend I get?”

Looking at the male, she could definitely tell he was a night owl and unfortunately an early riser, it happened to the best of people. “A shot.” She simply said. “Of espresso.” She finished, with a small smile.

Rachel glanced at the man in question, automatically feeling for the girl. She hummed, letting her eyes fall back on the barista, “Yeah, he looks like a dick.” Slipping her phone into her pocket she rummaged through her bag, pulling a five out of her wallet with a smile. “All yours. Have you ever thought of working in Starbucks or some shit? The managers there are about your age, makes it easier to deal with,” she said, keeping her voice low.

Shoving the money into her apron, she grabbed a wet rag and began to clean up her spot. “Do you have any idea how many college students apply to Starbucks?” She said with a sad tone. “But thanks. It’s only for the summer here ‘til I get back on campus for school.”

“I understand that feeling all too well,” The male commented, pulling his scrubs down further so it wasn’t stuck in his pants too far.  “It’s Monday so I felt like this this morning.”

The brunette looked down at the male fixing himself and she gave him a small smile, but it was followed by her eyebrows furrowing. “Don’t we all?” She questioned, tightening the knot around her waist. “Can I get ya’ anything?”

Noah heard the female mumbling to herself as he was sitting next to where she was standing; most likely preparing for work. Seemed like she didn’t want to be here. He sipped his shake and looked at her a few times before speaking up. “Is it really that bad working here? The place seems nice.”

Struggling to tie her apron around her waist in a manner where it wouldn’t slip off after a few minutes, she was interrupted by a random figure speaking to herself. Looking back to him, she shook her head and headed behind the counter as she grabbed a wet rag. “I meant in Providence– but here too, sometimes. Mostly Providence, though.”
