âAlright, you caught me, but flattery wonât get you everywhere,â he said even though he didnât believe it himself. It was hard for him to imagine Carlos not getting something he wanted. âWell, Iâm not sure being associated with you counts for being better. He looks exactly like me, but heâs smarter and athletic, which makes him the better twin by most people standards.â If Carlos hadnât put the dog away, Arthur would have played with him some more. Now that he knew the other boy had a dog, he made a mental note to hang out there more often. âAsking you randomly if you got a puppy recently wasnât on my mind, though it should have been âcause I kind of adopted one recently too. I mean I did, but it was with Georgia and heâs living at her place. Hey, we should have playdates with our puppies.â Arthur was sure that even if he had been trying to look away, he wouldnât have been able to. Not that this hasnât happened before. Surely Carlos must have been aware of it by now, Arthur wasnât good at hiding it. âWhat? Sure, Iâm always ready,â he cleared his throat. âWait a second.â He took a snapback out of his backpack, a grin on his face and put it on his head. âNow we can go.â
âIâll let the future by the judge of that.â Carlos winked while quickly grabbing a bottle from the mini-fridge near his door. For some reason he had two just so he could keep his cold beverages closer to the door. âNever met the guy, sooo, amigo, that makes you the better one.â Moving his hand to pat Arthur on the shoulder. The water was put inside his backpack as it had a fold to store water inside of the backpack that wouldnât damage anything. âPlaydates would be adorable, Nestle needs more friends so he isnât constantly needing me to give him attention 100% of the time.â He started walking towards the door, allowing Arthur to step in front of him to walk out first so he could lock the door. Several battery packs were in his backpack because he always had them on hand. He did notice the look that Arthur gave him as his shirt was being taken off but didnât want to bring much attention to it right now. Once he put on the hat and they walked outside, Carlos chuckled and closed the door behind them. âAwww,â He said as he was pulling out his phone. âLooks good on you. Now, letâs go out and catch some Pocket Monsters.â
