“Avocados too? Aren’t they disputed?” Absently, Maya wondered if he had been some sort of produce, before -- like she’d been a shark, or other people had been cars, and woodland creatures. It wasn’t wholly unlikely. She elected to believe him. “I can ask, but something tells me they’d not be so inclined to tell me much. Maybe I should become a farmer, just to learn their secrets.”
