A small headcanon of mine is that Leon doesn’t like showing off his skin.

Canonically he’s always dressed up, wears a lot of jackets and layers. I’d like to think that he’s not embarrassed of his body or scars or whatever. He’s just not comfortable with being naked or near naked around people, showing skin means being vulnerable and he can’t have that. His clothes are a shield of sorts, so even to bed he wears long sleeves and pants.

Meanwhile Chris Redfield could walk around with just his underwear on (or nothing on) and he wouldn’t bat an eye. He’s a big guy, so he’s always warm and he just doesn’t care about being naked. Doesn’t see anything weird with it either.

So when they start living together, Chris thinks that Leon is maybe feeling insecure about himself. While Leon is genuinely confused by how much clothes seem to bother Chris when they’re at home.
