Cult of the Lamb: Yngya the Shepherd

I feel like Yngya would be a shepherd in the follower form since they introduced ranching in the new DLC update.

I can't figure out which coloring I should use, so I also made an alternate version with the symbol on her clothes.

Woolhaven doodle dump!!! OC Stuff below the tag~

After losing all of her children in the slaughter, Baabaa fled Ewefall days before the attack on Woolhaven. All her hope was abandoned for Yngya’s guidance. God was dead and no one was going to save anyone but themselves. Without a purpose, or a flock, Baabaa set her sights to find her father’s herd of goats to live out the rest of her days.

While gathering sticks to make a fire, she heard the shrieking cries of a baby in the distance. Cautiously making her way down to the riverbank, there floated a small, woven basket; caught on a fallen log in the middle of the river. And just like that, she waded in as fast as she could. Suddenly, a new purpose was curled up in her arms, its cries sounding exhausted… and hungry.

The goats surely wouldn’t take her, now that she had a pure lamb in her care. And Baabaa wasn’t about to have this child be abandoned for a second time… so, off she went; packing up her camp in search for safer lands. Something with fertile land… enough space to raise a child, hidden enough to keep them out of the Bishops clutches.

I’d imagine Lambert never feels a true connection to the sheep of Woolhaven because they never got the chance to grow up under a flock mentality. Mama Baabaa tried to keep them safe, but was realistic with them always. It was dangerous to be a lamb—and someday she would no longer be around to protect them.

Also with her own lack of faith towards Yngya, Baabaa never passed on her knowledge to Lambert—further creating a divide between them and Yngya later during the events of Woolhaven DLC. Which also means that despite me drawing her as a ghost with Lambert—Mama Baabaa’s soul wouldn’t be able to be found and brought back. (‘: Just thought it was cute to draw a what if!!

Cotl reference - Yngya

While I was drawing her, I noticed the similarities to Avana's ascended form. I did it unconsciously, but it made me happy somehow.

I loved the story and I loved her design in the game. I especially loved her voice and I felt quite sad every time she deteriorated with the rot.

I'm not 100% sure how to integrate her into my AU... I was thinking of not having her live permanently in the cult, but also returning to her mountain with her flock. Suemy would immediately become attached to her, trying to recover what remains of her culture through her and the other ghosts (I even came up with the idea of Suemy being possessed by Yngya hehehehe~)

Avana wouldn't oppose it and would probably support it, but personally they wouldn't be that interested. I think after Woolhaven they'd be questioning what kind of god they wants to be.
