Last year my friends asked me if I’d been “getting [my] jollies”. They’d been reading some erotic literature, and in there the characters were not having particularly good sex, and lamenting that they were “not getting [their] jollies”. A jolly, in this context, is essentially a sexual pleasure or orgasm. I was familiar with the word “jolly” elsewhere in its non-sexual uses, but not this one, so I had to look it up.
