New Chapter;

This is the beginning of me revamping my social media platforms. I’ve always been fascinated with how people are making a living by doing social media, and so here I am starting this journey. I finally graduated college and have more time to focus on Youtube and Instagram. As of right now, I am looking for a big girl job, a Monday to Friday 8-5 situation, but during my free time, I edit and upload videos. I started my Youtube channel, and already have four vlogs up, and a makeup haul, and it is a lot of work. It takes time to record content videos, as well as the editing and making sure you include information in the video and in the description. Editing videos are more time-consuming than I expected because one video can easily take up two hours of my time. I am also a brand ambassador for Teami Blends, which also requires me to post, and that alone can take me time because I want to get a good photo and need to make sure the background is right. I’m going to start posting photos with me and the product which requires me to at least do my makeup and look semi-decent, and with videos, I need to also prepare and make sure I look decent. To make things even more strenuous I am looking for a new job, so that also takes time researching the company and position, but thankfully I am with a recruiting agency, and I am looking forward to the job opportunities they will present to me in the upcoming weeks. I’m hoping to have a new job within the next month.

Engaged at 20.

Today I came across a video on Youtube tilted Engaged at 20. It was from this Australian Youtuber, Jess Conte, who does covers on her channel, with a little bit of fashion and makeup. I am 22 turning 23 this summer, and it’s crazy to see many of my friends or high school mates at different stages of their lives. There are people I graduated with and are now RN’s at Kaiser or Stanford, or one working at Google, Cisco, or even Genentech. I also know a few people who are married with a kid, and I wonder to myself, how these people are content with being married and having a child so young. Many of my good friends who are my age are not engaged, nor do they have children. Even the majority of Jason’s good friends are not married, nor do they have children, and they are in their late 20′s. My brother is in his early 30′s and the majority of his friends are also not married, nor do they have kids. He only talks about two or three of his friends that actually have children. So it is really interesting to see the path that others take. I am still in school, and although I’ve been in a relationship for four years, if Jason proposed to me tomorrow, I would say no. I’m not ready to commit to that because I want to graduate first. I want to start my career and pursue my dreams. I also want to experience the world with Jason. I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to travel to different places as a child and truly experience the world around me, and it isn’t something you can learn or appreciate through a textbook, or a photo. So it honestly blows my mind how people are in rush to be married and have a family, when they haven’t even seen the world. It was similar to this show on Netflix, Master of None. *****Major spoiler alert: Francesca was with her boyfriend for 10 years and they got engaged (they are from a small town in Italy), when she arrived in New York and spent more time with Dev, it was there that she realized things were different. She thought she was going to get married, live in Italy, have a family, but she realized there was more to things in life. She realized she needed to really be on her own and explore. I am not saying i’m going to break up with Jason to explore, but I was adding to the idea that you really need to enrich yourself through the cultures of the world around you. I support and respect people who are ready for that commitment, but I know I’m not ready to make that decision, and I don’t think I will be for another few years. I want to enjoy living life with Jason, and exploring the rest of the world with him because he has barely seen the world the way I have had the chance to.
