Wasn’t able to finish this yesterday because I was at New York comic con. It is now been 10 years since the first time I’ve drawn Marissa. What started out as a random doodle of a kid witch for inktober apparently evolved into something much more. Not quite what I planted to post on here, but I didn’t have time.

I kid you not I woke up one morning and thought “Holiday Barbie! That’s what I’ll do this year!”

Back when me and my sisters were younger we would usually get the holiday Barbies for Christmas. My older sister mostly collected them she doesn’t anymore.

Fast-forward to the year 2010 my mom bought the holiday Barbie of that year to give to her for christmas. But she didn’t like how Barbie looked that year (mom called her "Resetion Barbie" XD) she was very dissapointed with her design that year. Compared to her other designs in the past it was a bit plain looking. So I desided to redesign her and give it to my sister as a gift.

Which brings us to now and I thought why not do it again XD. Not gonna lie this year’s holiday Barbie looks kind of………. Blah. I was not impressed. Especially with her hair XP.

So just like before I tried drawing it the way a fashion designer would draw it, took some creative liberties with the dolls design and Walla!

I had a hell of a time trying to get the tulle to look right on this, though I somehow gave it a very 50s/60s/ the opening to “The Nanny” vibe and I’m not mad about it. So here’s my take on the “Holiday Barbie 2024”!! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year everybody!!!

Sorry this is late ( I had a busy Christmas Eve and day)

Wanted to do something a bit different this year. Well as some of you on Facebook know, the last of our Pom trio Gino past away a few months ago and as is tradition I would usually draw them with an angel. But I couldn’t really think of anything and I wanted to do something before the year was up so I thought what better way to pay tribute to him then to have him be this years Christmas print/card (we actually got Gino in December anyway so it all fits XD)

I originally wanted to do a picture of Gino running through the clouds (free from his physical body and being able to run around like a normal dog before he became disabled). But I didn’t like how it looked at all and I already drew him running so I just decided to just make him bigger, colored it and added a jiggle bell on him (fun fact: we actually put a jingle bell on him cause he was so light we couldn’t hear him or knew where he was)

I also did ones of him with a red bow and one of him with a blue bow. I did that because as much as it seems appropriate for him to wear red on Christmas it seemed weird putting someone other than Ryo in red. Ryo had a red harness. Gino and Casey had blue harnesses.

The past 2 months haven’t been great for some people so to those who are still hurting. I hope you still had a good holiday.

RIP Gino (aka Mr. Sprinkles, aka Gino Bambino, aka gean machine machine) you will be missed enjoy being able to run again say hi to Ryo and Casey for me.

My mom has had this Halloween witch that moves and laughs for as long as I can remember. And figure er I’d sketched Marisa in a little outfit based on/ inspired by that witch.

A friend of mine took me to an alpaca farm a few months back and his favorite was an alpaca named Candy Apple and he inspired me to do this. It’s not much but it would make a cute sticker. Enjoy

Been working on this for months now. I made myself a travel bag for my tablet (and maybe also to put my pins on rather then have them sitting in my room) I also added a clear vinyl cover so I won’t lose them. Wow I'm on a roll. 3 pics in a row XD. I was going to do this and a Christmas one and send them both out for the holidays but I felt weird doing that with a Spider girl (I think I'll send out something I've already done). It's show time!

Been noticing a lot of Beetle juice merch on the net lately (I guess Beetlejuice is the new poster boy for Halloween now) so heres Marisa in a beetlejuice inspired outfit but instead of maroon she sported her trade mark orange.
