Oh? What do we have here~ Curious, the younger Devil approached the long haired brunette, wondering what could be the story with this lovely woman. Slowly, her hands crept behind, lightly tapping her on the shoulder with a smile. "Hey there~"

Surprised by the blonde suddenly approaching her, Katherine tilted her head, taking in her appearance. Curls down to her shoulders, a dress that was leaving practically nothing to the imagination, a smirk that told of untold mischief. In fact, the blonde girl was almost the exact opposite of Katherine herself.

"Ah, hello." It would be rude not to answer, and so she did. "Sorry, I'm not used to being here, I'm just waiting for my boyfriend. This is his favorite bar. Am I in your way?"

"Got yerself a piss poor city then. I’d invite ya to the Bastion, but it’s quite the move."

"You may be right, but I don't believe the commute to work would be the most convenient. Plus getting mail would be a pain."

She sets a small glass down in front of him, amber colored liquid swirling over ice. "...here. You look like you could use this."

Drafting all the things, starting to get tired...I was busy with my other blog today, sorry about those who are waiting on me.

"Yeah, I know." Really, he was just a gentleman that would give his opinion once in a while. How was he supposed to help in any way? "I guess I'm just sort of thinking out loud. I tend to do that more when you're around."

Three balls laid in front of you; all of them had red on to top and white on the bottom; but there were symbols. One had a leaf, the other a water droplet and lastly a flame... which one will you choose?

carcinogensheep || A Tint of Rain

It was one of those moments that had the woman awake in her mind before her body stirred, her position momentarily perplexing her as she struggled with the sensation of being somewhat upright. Honey-brown eyes opened slowly, confusion setting in as she gazed around the room. Her living room. Why would she of fallen asleep in her living room?

Shifting slightly, Katherine glanced over her shoulder at the jacket that was slowly sliding down her back, unfamiliar and familiar at the same time. Her sleep hazed mind tried to click into place as the pieces slowly started to come together, the woman sitting up suddenly, her body leaning away from that on which she had been resting.

It hit her suddenly, him insisting on walking her home after all the crazy that had been surrounding her life, the woman inviting him up for a drink with no ulterior motive then she didn't want to be alone, the threatening text messages still trickling in on her phone. They had talked well into the night, simple stuff, easy, things that just came out and were laughed about. Obviously she must of fallen asleep right then and there, for she was waking up in practically the same positions, her clothing crumpled but intact. 

Not that she would expect Jonny to be anything but a gentlemen.

He might of taken it too far, however, the brunette studying his sleeping face. Why hadn't he just woken her? Katherine glanced towards the window, the grey sky and water rivulets running down her pane of glass revealing it was morning, but she wasn't sure exactly the time. Her head throbbing slightly, she reached over to gently shake the man's shoulder, unsure if she should let him sleep, as he had been so kind to do the night before.

"...hey...hey, Jonny? Wake up, hey..."

“Why’s that? You don’t have to tell me of course if you don’t want to, I’m just a stranger.” He smiled, “I’m Rose by the way.”

"Rose, that's an interesting name. Katherine." She sighed slightly. "I just have...a lot on my mind lately. Troubles with the boyfriend, you know..."

"Tends to keep me up at night."

“I hope you don’t mind, or find it weird or anything, but I listened to the conversation he was having with his buddies. He seems to be a little worried by the fact that you’ve got a bun in the oven.” You, without her consent, pull a chair out from the adjacent table and plop a squat across from her. You lean across the table; bandaged hands rest idly on top of one another.

“My name’s Blitz,” you answer. To be fair this conversation had nothing to do with you. Katherine, from what he heard from Vincent’s conversation, sounded like a decent enough woman. You just figured she’d like to be kept in the loop. “I’ve seen you two around, together, from time to time. I was just worried something was wrong.” You glance off to the side.

“You two seem like nice people. I was just concerned.”

He was being that detailed with his friends, huh...? The woman grimaced, Vincent's worries mirroring her own. "Blitz then...I suppose that's probably a nickname, but that's fine." Katherine swallowed, her eyes glancing to the side as she tucked her hair behind her ear. "Sometimes...nice doesn't get you very far, I guess. Sometimes nice turns to laziness, and when you try to rein things in it tends to cause...problems." Another sigh. "I'm probably not making much sense."

"Yeah, I guess I should of been more careful. Really, both of us should of, but what's done is done. I just hope that he's able to...be there for me, you know? He's not the most responsible of guys, sometimes, so I--" Katherine paused, flashing the young man a smile. 'I'm sorry, I shouldn't be rambling like this. It's not like me to just complain to a stranger." 

[narrator-rucks]

“Eh, he talks more ‘bout himself. Goes on and on ‘bout how much he hates how lazy he is, and his fears… Depressin’ mess of a man, really.”

Rucks took a long draw on his pipe, despite only being present in the woman’s mind. The sound of him exhaling was audible, if a bit gravelly.

Depressing mess of a man...if that wasn't a good description for Vincent, she wasn't sure what. Still, Katherine could recall a time when it wasn't so difficult just...being.

"That's...surprising, really. He's always a bit defensive when I tell him the same thing. I guess it's easier when he's talking to himself." Then again, it was easier to talk to someone in your head instead of across the table. "I wish things weren't...so hard."

"Oh...sorry, yes. I'm fine, I was just thinking out loud...I've got an early day tomorrow, and I have a feeling I won't be sleeping well tonight."
