Do you like A24 films? Their early work was a little too drama based for my tastes, but when Backrooms came out in '26, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole film has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of avant-garde liminal horror that really gives the movie a big boost. It's been compared to Vivarium, but I think Backrooms has a far more bitter, doomer sense of horror.
