“Why does this kind of stuff keep happening?” Kara said, hitting her hand against the nearest tree as she paced back and forth. What she hadn’t expected was to leave a decently sized dent from what was originally intended to be a light punch. In amongst the frustration and confusion, she was finding it particularly hard to keep her powers in check, and she was pretty sure that wasn’t going to make the already-angry inhabitants any calmer. “We have to find a way to get everyone out of here.”
“ what?? never had lizard men out for your blood before. this is a normal saturday night where i’m from. ” she’s exaggerating, voice tight and arms crossed firmly across her chest despite the seemingly light hearted words. lorna is an angry woman by trade; this is not a place she needs to be and yet -- she’s stuck. “ we don’t have to do anything but survive until this hellhole gets bored with us. my only concerns are a nephew faster than light and a half-sibling that could think you dead. i’m not actively looking for anyone else. ”
