Hello everyone! Here is the basic information involving the MCYT GT Events!
Hello hello! This post is to help you remember the basic rules for the events and answer a few questions you may ask so we don't have to keep re answering them!
[This post will most likely update over time!]
Rules
Nsfw stuff is completely banned from the events!
Please respect boundaries when creating content for the events, including when it is for someone and when it is for an event as a whole
If you ever have any questions please reach out to us at either @plant-gt-thought-box or @bittydragon
Please remember to have fun and enjoy yourselves during the event! :D
If you want to join the event discord server please contact the two Mods of this blog and we well get you a link!
Remember, we created this blog to have fun little community events that anyone can join and enjoy, so please remember to respect everyone else in these events!
This blog and its events are no longer active. We will no longer be hosting any more events. We thank you all for great events and wish everyone the best in their future content creations!
who are the two mods we ask for the server discord?
To be honest, I don't think we will be hosting any more events. These events, and everything here really, are on an indefinite hold as the two of us don't have the time for it, as well as both of us moving onto other fandoms. We don't have a guarantee that we'll actually return to hosting these events due to these circumstances.
For the time being, we will more than likely not do anything more with the discord server nor the events. But we thank you for your interest! And we thank everyone else for helping make these events so much fun!
The link for the discord server is by request only! We don't have a public link for our server for security purposes and our own state of mind. If you are interested in joining the event discord server, please message one of the mods and we will help you out in getting you an invite link!
Yep! We have a discord server that's mainly used for giving event participants reminders and a quick and easy place to ask questions! We always strongly recommend participants join the discord when in an event unless it's not possible, therefore we work out an alternative for that participant.
What if someone who joined the events don't finish their work?
If someone doesn't finish their work in normal circumstances and doesn't let a mod know ahead of time about possible delays or inability to complete work due to something occurring in life, then that person will be unable to join the next hosted event. They will be able to rejoin events after that break is up.
However, we are working out the unfinished works from last event and are doing our best to get it completely wrapped up before officially taking a break on events until next season
This is the perfect ask to use for this announcement so I'll do this here:
Unfortunately, we will not be hosting a summer exchange event this year. An announcement has been made on the discord but I'll make a mini one here for those who can't access the announcement.
After the last 2 events, we the mods decided that we needed to take a break from hosting events. All of us became quickly overwhelmed with stuff in life that it was hard to manage these events on top of it. Therefore, no summer exchange will be held this year.
We will look into hosting another event come fall/winter but this summer we will be taking a break from events. We're very sorry, but don't worry! We hope to be back later.
Notes: Let me preface this by saying dear god I am so so sorry about how late this is. This is my (extremely late) secret santa gift for @2-sleepy-for-this. This was supposed to be done so long ago and I apologize for it taking so long. I do hope you still enjoy this gift! @mcyt-gt-events
Techno leaned against the counter, tapping the counter as he waited for the milk to finish heating up. The chocolate and can of whipped cream were sat nearby and a mixing spoon sat directly next to them.
It didn’t take long for the tell tale sound of the microwave going off and Techno pushed himself away from the counter, taking the three steps to the microwave to grab the now hot milk. He mindlessly grabbed the mug with his uncovered hands, the heat barely affecting him as he had an abundantly high tolerance for heat. Growing up in the Nether and you’d be used to intense heat as well.
Shifting his grip on the mug, placing the hot mug into one hand, he reached over and added the chocolate. With clear practice Techno didn’t look up as he grabbed the spoon and stirred the chocolate in. Once he was positive the chocolate was all melted he let go of the spoon, leaving it sitting in the mug as he grabbed the whipped cream and poured a generous amount on the thick liquid.
Satisfied with his hot beverage he made his way out to the living room. He settled himself on the couch with a happy sigh, bringing the mug up to his mouth and taking a long sip. He relished in the hot feeling it spread throughout him. The cold doesn’t affect him too much but he will never pass up an opportunity to further warm himself up.
@onthefreighttrain hehe >:D
Jimmy and Joel had been, to put it lightly, at each other’s throats, although most of the antagonizing was coming from Joel’s behalf. The so-called ‘God’ had started to push his boundaries though. Before you ask, no, it’s not the pranks. In fact, Jimmy has a good laugh at those. He even has to admit that the wall around his empire was actually neat looking.
The small man blinked a couple times and opened his eyes. He stretched out his arms and his eyes glossed over at the patchwork. Yeah, exactly what he meant. Whatever Joel had done was changing him. Jimmy slid his sleeve down; his eyes traced the work gloves scar had given him. He had become more and more interested in trying them, but he hated how they felt. They were used to help reduce calluses on builders, but they always made his hands super sweaty. It made sense. The material was thick to protect the builders hands, and well, he lived in a desert.
Thinking about it, Scar seemed to use them for his building all the time. He didn’t seem to have a problem with the heat. Though, most of the time he used the shadows of the stuff he had built to hide from the sun. It made sense. Scar had built twice, well once really, in deserts. Back in hermitcraft season 5, Scar had done a similar thing to what Jimmy was doing now. And well, 3rd life was pretty much all Grian.
Jimmy started towards the door before sighing, stepping back, and picking up the gloves. He should probably go resource gathering anyways. He slid them on and tested finger movements. It was smooth. He kneeled down and picked up his axe from where it laid against the wall. “Wow,” Jimmy said quietly to himself. He expected the axe to slip, but he held it perfectly as if he weren’t wearing the gloves at all. “These are well made. Scar was right!”It also explains how the hermits built their tower so quickly. Honestly, the building gloves weren’t used as much on empires before this. Sausage, Joel, and Scott were the only ones with a couple pairs before. That made sense though. They make the most, building wise, and it would have just been easier on them. It’s honestly when Jimmy first used them. It felt fine out in the open plains, but back at the desert it was just too hot.
Jimmy headed up the stairs towards his portal. He ran his hand over the obsidian. He couldn’t feel the heat that normally would come with it. Soon he stepped in, the nauseating feeling hit. It wasn’t really all bad, you got used to it. His feet slid onto the ground, and he started towards the portal closest to spawn: Joel’s. The chance of getting face to face with the god was little to none, though.
Oh boy was he wrong. The second he stepped through the portal, the man stood there talking to Grian. Of course, the two people he didn’t want to see. Grian’s head snapped towards him with a smirk on his face. “Well hello Tim,” Grian cooed teasingly.
“What nowwww…” Jimmy groaned.
“Aww what? I’m not even doing anything.”
“Oh please, Grian, it’s you, you can’t not do anything.”
“You think so little of me,” Grian says, turning his head playfully upset.
Joel let out a laugh as Jimmy stepped out of the portal and into the snow. “Wait, you guys got snow?” He asked confusedly, snapping the others out of their giggle fits.
“Oh yeah, I suppose you don’t get that down in the badlands, do you?” Joel said. “Well, that’s why Grian was here. I was talking about ideas on how to stop it from covering all the paths while also making it look good. I didn’t think about it when making plans.” Jimmy let out a little laughing huff through his nose. “Well I was going to get wood, not sure if I could- er, well, should do that now.” Jimmy lowered his axe. Grian’s eyes traced his movements.
“You started wearing the gloves?” The avian remarked.
“Oh yeah,” Jimmy said, showing his free hand. “I’m kinda glad I did, again because of the snow.”“Wait, why are you wearing the gloves?” Grian asked, Jimmy paused for a second.
“I was starting to get calluses. Might need to fix my axe as well. It has a couple splinters in the handle.” Grian shrugged, seeing no reason to disagree, but Joel smiled.
“Are you sure that’s the only reason?” Joel asked, placing a hand on Jimmy’s shoulder. It took a couple seconds but Jimmy yanked himself away with his right hand grabbing at his far shoulder. The sheriff turned his head, teeth biting his lip in pain. Joel had that same smirk, but Grian’s was faltering.
Jimmy’s vision blurred, and as it did, he started to fall. The sheriff could barely make out the parrot running at him, worried and calling out his name.
He felt something soft and warm catch him. His head felt awful and there was loud calling surrounding him. Something soft touched his back and he pulled into it letting out a pained groan due to the headache.
After what felt like a couple munities his headache began to clear. His eyes opened and he saw they were holding a familiar red fabric. He looked around slowly. He was cradled in what seemed to be Grian’s arms. The avian was fluffed up and seemed to be shouting- wait, he was shouting at Joel.
Jimmy let out a pained moan and Grian’s arguing stopped. The avian looked down at the tiny in his hand. “You okay?” the larger asked, voice shaking a little.
“Headache,” Jimmy said. There was some shuffling, and the tiny saw the avian stand. His eyes slid over to Joel, whose head hung in defeat. Jimmy’s head flipped between the two. He knew Grian was defensive, but he rarely yelled at anyone.
“Where are you taking me?” Jimmy asked, starting to get scared. Grian looked down at him with a saddened expression. “To Tango. I’m not sure what Joel did to you, and it’s best you’re with someone who won’t hurt you more.” Jimmy blinked a couple times, confused, but nuzzled into Grian’s sweater more. “Mmkay,” he murmured before looking down. Wait, why wasn’t he cold? There was snow, but he didn’t feel cold, in fact he couldn’t feel the heat from Grian’s body like he had before.
Jimmy pulls up his sleeve and sees his whole arm full of stitches. Same with his legs when he rolled up his pant’s sleeve. “What?” Jimmy asked aloud. Grian looked at him and saw what the smaller one was looking at.
Jimmy heard the growl and looked up to Grian whose teeth bared as he gave one last angry look to Joel before spreading his wings. Although Grian wasn’t really built for the snow, he shot through the air, aiming for the cave.
“Grian, I- I’m scared. I don’t want him to see me like this.”
“He’ll take care of you though. He wont judge you for this. In fact, I think he’d murder Joel.”Jimmy relaxed at that. “I wouldn’t mind that,” he jokes, making Grian laugh a little. The avian’s flying slowed as the cave showed up. Soon the parrot was on the tracks and making his way in on the rails.
Grian’s wings opened again as he slowly descended. A familiar blue light showed and Grian headed towards it, landing nearby. Tango turned to greet Grian, pulling the goggles off his eyes. “Hiya buddy? What’s up?” Grian smiled and moved the stiff Jimmy into his hands. “I have something for you.” Tango looks down at Grian’s hands and lets out a happy squeak. “Just be careful with ‘em, ‘mkay?” Tango nodded, pulling the small toy into his chest. Jimmy’s face flushed and he looked at Grian slowly, who just smiled widely. “Well, I’ve got some stuff to get. Have fun with that!”
Tango nodded and walked back into the bamboo farm. He made a comfy chair and placed Jimmy in it. “I’ll be back for you. I’ve got some redstone to take care of first.” Jimmy watched out of the corner of his eyes and Tango jumped down into a hole. The clicking and jittering of redstone machinery was on and off. The doll figured he was fixing something that broke.
Soon Tango re-emerged, redstone staining his clothes and sweat dripping down his face. Jimmy sat there in stunned silence, a good stunned silence. Jimmy knew Tango was built already. The man carried deep slate everywhere, and it was heavy stuff! Tango looked over to his small friend and smiled. Jimmy could barely not smile as Tango took off his larger coat, leaving him in a black tank top.
It didn’t help when Timmy was picked up by the hot man and held close to the large hermit’s heart. The sound of it beating was relaxing, but he was being pushed gently into the large abs. Though now, he could see all those muscles at work as well. Oh wow, it was hot. Well, Tango was a fire demon, but that’s not exactly what he was trying to point out.
The demon gently slid his fingers down the tiny’s face, who leaned into it a little. Tango smiled and headed back to his hut. “Man, I really wish I could talk to you.” Tango says to the plushy. “I miss you.”Jimmy went to respond, but was surprised when nothing came out. ‘W-what?’ Jimmy thought to himself. He was just speaking with Grian hours ago, was he choking on something? Again, he tried to speak, but nothing came out of his mouth. His throat felt fine, his breathing felt normal, so why?Jimmy’s spiraling thoughts stopped as he was placed on a large red bed. It was a really nice bed, too. It was thick but super soft. It made sense though, as the cave would be pretty cold and damp. All Jimmy could really do was watch as Tango disappeared behind a corner towards what the smaller assumed to be his bathroom. The tiny let out a sigh. At least he got to spend time with Tango. And well, Jimmy wouldn’t trade that for the world.

Tubbo followed close behind his partner as the snow crunched underneath his boots and his partner’s parents followed close behind them carrying various amounts of camping gear. Tubbo had been invited by Ranboo to go on a camping trip with his family during winter. He had never heard of going camping during winter but this wasn’t really a normal camping trip.
See, Tubbo was going on a camping trip with a cryptozoologist, two actual cryptids, and Sapnap. Tubbo wasn’t completely sure on what was going to happen during this camping trip as he wasn’t sure what cryptid they were looking for but he was still quite excited to help out his partner. This was going to be the absolute best winter camping trip ever.
The small group of five finally reached their camping grounds and Tubbo was a bit relieved when he found out they were going to be staying in a cave instead of out in a field among the snow. The brunette helped Ranboo set up the tent they were going to be staying in for the next few days and then agreed to go out with Karl to gather up some wood they could use for a fire.
“So Tubbo, are you excited to help us look for Wren Veilers? Ranboo mentioned you were excited to find one.” Karl asked as he walked over to the team holding some old dried wood they had found, the brunette smiled as he collected more sticks for firewood.
This was supposed to be a gift for @bittydragon and i’m so so so sorry that it’s so late and kind of crappy but there will be a part 2 so i can make it 𝓫𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓮𝓻. For now enjoy!

Wilbur was a complete idiot. But in his defense, the lake wasn’t that far from the cabin ok?! He just wanted to attempt to find that pretty salmon again, but he had completely forgotten that it was winter and that meant the fish were gone. Along with any other sensible animal. It also wasn’t his fault that the universe truly seemed to hate him and decided a blizzard would be wonderful right as Wilbur decided to head home. He cursed bitterly as he narrowly avoided another tree that just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Prime, he could barely see 5 feet ahead in this stupid blizzard. He could practically hear Techno’s annoying droning about his pathetic lack of survival skills. Then he saw it. In the distance. A giant opening to a cave. Wilbur laughed incredulously. Maybe the universe didn’t completely loathe him after all!
With a bit more spring in his step, Wilbur hurried over to the entrance to the cave. He didn’t even pause to think about how the vastness of the cave felt a bit…off. All he knew was he was finally out of that gods-forsaken blizzard, with what felt like 3 out of his 4 limbs still intact. He waddled further into the cave, still shivering from the cold that had taken root in his bones. He eventually found a dry spot against a cave wall and settled down, content to pass out for a bit, before he heard it. A strange whooshing sound. Wilbur glanced further into the darkness of the cave, where the sound had come from. The sound came again and Wilbur sat up. What can he say, he’s a curious person. He slowly made her way towards the increasingly loud noise until he saw a vague form in the darkness.
He got closer and slowly became horrified at the sight of what looked to be a child. He could barely make out a head of blonde curly hair. Wilbur couldn’t see far enough to see the kids lower half, but he desperately hoped he was wearing a thick pair of pants, because the kid didn’t appear to be wearing anything for a top. There was no way that the poor thing wasn’t practically frozen solid. Without another thought, Wib began sprinting with energy he didn’t know he had towards the fallen child. He realized soon that he had seriously miscalculated the distance between him and the kid and that the kid was a lot closer than he had thought. But- that doesn’t make sense, that would mean that either he had poor eyesight or that the kid…was…humongous.
Wilbur stared in increasing horror into the large face of an unconscious giant child. No,wait. Not unconscious. The kid’s eyebrows were furrowed tightly and he was breathing unevenly, letting out short puffs of cold air. “That explains the weird huffing sound” Wilbur thought grimly. The child’s cheeks were a harsh red, his eyes were squeezed shut as he weakly fought off the cold. And even though this was a giant (who shouldn’t exist, by the way), it was a giant child. And Wilbur had a chronically bleeding heart. So he made his decision. He didn’t know how, but he was gonna help this kid, whatever it took. Besides, he was raised by the Blood God and the Angel of Death. He was no stranger to the impossible.
So Wib steeled his nerves and marched up right in front of the child’s nose. Even if he was on the verge of unconsciousness, Wilbur couldn’t help but feel a bit intimidated by the poor kid, but he pushed those thoughts away. The kid let out another violent puff of air, blowing Wilbur’s hair away from his face and in sort of a knee jerk reaction, Wilbur placed his hand on the tip of the kid’s nose, though it probably looked more like a slap. Not that Wilbur had time to worry about it since he heard a sharp intake of air and 2 things happened in quick succession.
One, Wilbur watched as the boy’s eyes shot open, pupils constricting into thin slits as they landed on his comparatively small form, and he barely had a second to think ‘blue, just like Phil’ before the second thing happened. He felt something cold and smooth wrap around his ankle before his whole world was flipped upside down. Wilbur tried to see what was hanging him upside down and he only caught a glimpse of red before he heard a small pained groan. He turned to see that he was being held up at about eye level with the giant boy, who was slowly sitting up on shaky pale arms. Both arms. So how…? And then he looked and saw what was holding him up. A giant red scaled reptilian tail. One that was connected to the giant boy. Oh no. When the boy had finally sat up, his icy blue eyes focused on Wilbur and suddenly he felt paralyzed. He couldn’t move. He could hardly breathe. All he could see were those icy blue eyes. A naga. An honest to gods naga was staring Wilbur down with an emotion that he couldn’t focus enough to pick apart. Judgment? Or gods forbid, hunger.
In Wilbur’s trance of fear, he didn’t notice the boy’s quivering mouth, or his winces of pain with every minute movement. He did notice when the boy ground out a question.
“A-are you fucking stupid?”
Wilbur’s brain lagged as he processed the question. What?
“Why the hell are you here? I’m not sure if you noticed, but there is very much a blizzard outside right now. In fact, how did you even get here?” the naga snarked
When Wilbur did not respond, the tail holding him gently shook side to side.
“Hello? Did you die of cold already? Or did my awesomeness shock you into silence?” the naga asked, as if he wasn’t shivering violently every other second.
There was another moment of silence before Wilbur swallowed, channeling Technos monotone deadpan.
“Well maybe if you quit hanging me upside down, i could probably form a coherent sentence and respond to you.” he droned. He didn’t expect the kid to jolt like he’d had a sudden realization and a flash of remorse to slide across his face before he was suddenly flipped right side back up.
“Come to think of it, aren’t snakes supposed to be asleep for the winter or whatever? That would mean that you would need to be as well” Wilbur said as a dry attempt at a joke. Surprisingly, the kids' eyebrows furrowed at the remark.
“I can't hibernate yet, I have to wait for my…master to come back.” he said sheepishly
It was then that Wilbur looked the child in the eyes for the first time.
“How long have you been waiting for your ‘master’ to come back, exactly?” Wilbur asked, studying the child’s expression.
“Only a little while. It doesn’t matter anyways, because my master is coming back.” the naga snapped.
Wilbur raised his hands in surrender and it was quiet for all of 5 seconds before he started up again.
“Why do you need your master to hibernate anyways?” Wilbur asked, leaning lazily against the tail that still held him captive.
The kid's ears twitched as he replied “He might need me, what’ll happen if he’s in danger and needs protecting and I’m off somewhere snoozing the winter away. And besides, for me to hibernate, conditions have to be met.”
“What, like it has to be 30° exactly for the little snake to get some sleep?” Wilbur teased with a huff of laughter.
“There has to be someone in my storage.” the kid deadpanned.
It was then that the kid looked at Wilbur. Who couldn’t move. A glint grew in the child’s eye. A glint Wilbur did not want to touch with a 60 ft pole.
“You know… I don’t have to hibernate all in one go. I can sleep in sections.” The naga stated.
Wilbur felt a bead of sweat make its way down the back of his neck. “That's… interesting,” he mumbled.
“Yeah it is. It also means I don’t necessarily have to wait for my master to get back to get a little bit of sleep” the kid purred.
“Um, yes you do- what are you doing?” Wilbur cried out as the tail that was holding him abruptly dropped him into a giant hand.
“Finally getting some real sleep, I hope. I haven’t slept properly in 3 winters…” the naga said quietly as he pinched Wilbur’s waist between two clawed fingers.
Wilbur felt a brief flash of sympathy wash over him before it was quickly overshadowed by fear as he was raised above the fanged mouth of the young naga.
“Wait! Don’t do this man please!” He cried, desperately trying to wiggle out of the nagas hold, to no avail.
The naga paused and brought Wilbur back to eye level. Wilbur let himself hope that maybe he had talked some sense into the naga. That is, until he opened his mouth.
“I promise you won’t die. It won’t even hurt! I swear on the gods.I just have to do this.” the naga croaked before closing his eyes, tilting his head back, opening his mouth and raising Wilbur above it once more.
“No no NO!” Wilbur cried, panicking as he was lowered into naga’s mouth. He barely saw how the naga’s eyebrows furrowed more and more with every desperate cry.
He yelped as he was dropped into the unpleasantly warm cavern. He instantly tried to scramble back to the front of the mouth but the naga had quickly snapped his teeth shut, nearly taking Wilburs hand and effectively sealing his fate in the same breath. Wilbur began to breathe harshly as the world slowly tilted backwards, making him slide to the back of the mouth. He let out one last desperate cry before was gulped down. The whole way down the nagas throat, Wilbur hardly let himself move. This was really happening. His journey came to an end when he finally fell into what looked like the nagas stomach.
Wilbur sat panting in the stomach of the naga, trying his damndest not to cry. What kind of cruel fate was this? To die to a giant sickly snake child? He felt the naga sluggishly poking at him from the outside, but he couldn’t even bring himself to lash out at him.
“Little dude?” the naga asked, the voice reverberating all around him, causing Wilbur to cringe slightly.
“How could you do this to me?” Wilbur muttered, grieving quietly for the life he was supposed to live.
He felt the naga flinch slightly at his words. He heard a gulp above him and Wilbur felt a tendril of dark satisfaction curl around his heart, pleased that the naga was nervous.
“I told you, I can't go another winter alone.” the naga whimpered.
“So you fucking swallow me? Kid, the solution to loneliness isn’t murder!” Wilbur bellowed.
The naga flinched again before two hands pressed against the stomach. “B-but it isn’t murder! You aren’t going to die, I-I promised!”
Wilbur laughed humorlessly. “The gig is up, you’ve already swallowed me so I’m not going anywhere. You don’t have to keep up with that ridiculous lie.”
“I’m not lying! You're in my storage stomach idiot!” the naga cried indignantly.
“Yeah! A stomach! I don’t care what words you put in front of it, a stomach is a stomach, which means I'm going to… die.” Wilbur stressed, voice breaking at the last word.
“Nono! Nagas have two stomachs, one for consumption and one for storage. The one for storage doesn’t have any acids that can kill you.” the naga explained hurriedly.
Wilbur took in the information silently.
“So…i’ll be ok?” he asked tentatively
“Yes,” the naga exhaled, sounding relieved. “Like I promised.”
“You did promise, didn’t you?” Wilbur said, letting out a tired laugh
The naga didn’t respond and Wilbur felt his surroundings shift as the naga curled up quietly.
It was silent for a moment and Wilbur felt his eyes drooping. How absurd. He was quite literally lying in the belly of the beast right now. He leaned back against the walls of the stomach and made himself comfortable. Although the kid had reassured him thoroughly that he wasn’t going to die, he’d also made it very clear that he wasn’t letting Wilbur go. At least for a little while. He might as well get cozy in his new prison. Just as he was dozing off, he heard a yawn from above followed by a hum.
“Tommy”
“…What” Wilbur murmured, only half conscious.
“My name is Tommy. Just so you know” The naga- Tommy confessed.
It was silent for a moment before Wilbur huffed, softly amused.
It has snowed during the night and a family of misfit borrowers are excited to start their winter!
It had been snowing rather heavily and looking outside showed a big scene of untouched snow, icicles that hung like crystals shining and reflecting the sun’s rays. And of course, Tommy wanted nothing more than to ruin it all.
“Phiiiillll! I don't care about all these layers. I'm not like Wilbur, who got a cold as soon as it started snowin! I’m a big man!”
“Big man or not you are bundling up, you all are, especially you Techno. Don’t think you’re going out in your usual attire. I know how thin that fabric is.”
“Aw, c’mon phil I think you should let Tommy out like that-”
“Yeaaaahhh!”
“-Give us a bit of peace and quiet whilst he recovers from a cold.”
“Hey!”
Phil sighed, shaking his head, looking over to Wilbur who seemed like the only one who wanted to bundle up. He couldn’t blame him, that cold really did its worse to him, what he wasn't impressed by was sitting next to him.
“No bringing the guitar outside Wilbur, you know how your fingers freeze out there, I'm not bandaging more fingertips than usual.”
“Aw! Phil I’m not gonna play long, I’m more responsible-”
“It is decided that if you want to get inspired you write down the music then play it when you’re all warmed up, put your gloves on, the ones with fingers thank you Will.”
He had to do this practically every winter thankfully after they were all schooled once they tended to do it continuously until the end of the season, which was a relief. After making sure they all had suitable clothes to withstand the arctic’s chill he let them loose, after getting his own on.
As expected Tommy and Techno threw themselves into making snow forts for the as they put it ‘biggest snowball war yet!’.
Wilbur went off and began to walk around before Tommy periodically destroyed the wonders like the crisp pristine snow, icicles and whatever else he could put his hands onto.
Phil who had a nice warm cup of tea, not hot chocolate for he knew if he did have a hot chocolate that the others would surely demand some too. So for now when he wanted to relax and not be demanded of, he had tea.
He flew up to sit on the roof watching out for any giants that could be a danger. There never was much danger from those wandering around however, you could never be too safe. That giant known as Dream was becoming more and more of a worry to phil.
Becoming more bold and even a few rumors of him and a few raiding a few borrower cities. He shook the thoughts from his mind. He had nothing to worry, that giant was further south, they were nestled in a little nook in the arctic that nobody would find.
Looking down and seeing chaos, Technoblade had managed to make an entire pile of snowballs and was throwing them at unimaginable speeds. Pelting everybody in sight, from his actual target, Tommy to Wilbur and almost hitting a robin too.
The rush of snowballs however slowed as Technoblade slowly ran out, a last big one then silence on the snow fight front. Then shouting, of course, with Wilbur and Tommy rushing forward with armfulls of snowballs, throwing them at Techno who was hiding in his snow base supposedly.
Phil didn’t need to see what would come back, hardly being able to cover his laughter as both Wilbur and Tommy found themselves being covered in what was once Techoblade’s snow fort.
Phil did look however to survey the damage, Wilbur and Tommy were both throwing the snowballs that they still had at Technoblade who was running away laughing loudly. A few of the snowballs hit him but most hit the branches and decorations around the garden.
Tommy never had the patience to properly assess how fast Technoblade moved so most shots missed, and wilbur was more of a lover than a fighter so his aims were off not to mention his glasses were fogging up every now and then.
Phil chuckled, they were a perfect family, sure he missed those who called themselves family but right now? He wouldn't trade them for the world. He would fend off a hundred, no, thousands of giants for them.
He hoped they knew it, he would dive head first towards certain death if it meant they could be safe and free.
He looked over, and yeah, Tommy was getting ganged up on by Technoblade and Wilbur. So Phil just shuffled slightly which sent a tidal wave of snow onto all of them. Leaving three snowmen for a split second before.
“PHILLLL!”
Tommy’s splitting cry shattered the silence which settled back before Phil couldn’t hold it back and began laughing loudly at them.
Swooping at them, knocking some of the snow off the branches, avoiding the snowballs thrown at him. Focusing on the fight now! He couldn’t win. He was the angel of death after all!
Slowly as the fight went on the sun slowly dipping sleepily down onto the tree-tops before ducking further down. Slowly the stars began to shine brighter as the moon rose, Wilbur and Technoblade stopped fighting to look at the stars, naming constellations.
Phil ducked back in and brought them all out some hot coco, as per requests that they always had. Extra extra marshmallows for Tommy, espresso shots for Wilbur and potatoes for Technoblade strangely enough.
They stayed out there for a while, looking up at the stars, listening to stories from all of them, keeping themselves warm by sipping their hot coco. Small lanterns lit in the garden to keep the mobs at bay, laughter filling the space betweens the stories and stars.
It felt like the night lasted forever but slowly time seemed to drag on. The spaces between words began drifting on, the stars seemed to dim at them, the moon began climbing up the night sky. Oh, and of course Tommy fell asleep on Technoblade’s shoulder, snoring rather loudly.
They slowly picked Tommy up bringing him to his room carefully to not wake him up, Wilbur going to bed next with a murmur of something about staying up too late making him less creative in the morning.
Technoblade of course stayed up a few hours before going to sleep, he wouldn’t wake up until around noon of course. But that was typical for him. Phil found himself sat alone in the house, the edges of his mouth hurting from all the laughing he did.
Murmuring a prayer to Kristin, a soft and hushed prayer about how he was doing and hoping that Kristin was doing good too. Finishing off the prayer before going to sleep too. They had a few months of this best to be well rested or else who knew what they’d get up to. Falling asleep chuckling at the possibilities of that.

Fire and Ice
Ranboo strolled through their forest, the fallen leaves and branches crunching pleasantly beneath their feet. They were careful not to step on any of the younger trees as they walked, but pushed past the older ones, letting them brush their sides.
Their wings fluttered gently in the chill breeze as they walked; Ranboo longed to take to the skies, but knew it would be far colder in the air than on the ground. The cold would quickly make them miserable, so they kept their wings folded against their body.
The first snow of the season had fallen at last. Ranboo was doing their yearly exploration of their territory, less focused on patrolling for threats than taking in the white-dusted trees and frosty ground.
The dragon's sight seeing had an unexpected interruption in the form of a human voice. Ranboo froze, swallowing their instinctive growl. They needed to know how many intruders were in their forest before they chased them off.
They watched through the cover of the trees, careful not to be seen by whoever was there.
A single human, dressed in a red jacket, was stumbling through the woods. He was loud in the way he walked, and in the way curses fell from his lips. Ranboo watched him for several minutes, just to make sure he really was alone.
The longer they watched this lone human, the less irritated they became. The human was wandering aimlessly, like he didn't know where he was going. He had been shivering the entire time Ranboo watched, and the shaking only got worse. He muttered expletives and swore off camping forever.
Ranboo was pretty sure he was lost. And a lost human in their forest was very different from an intruder they needed to chase away.
Ranboo hesitated. They could chase the human away from his territory and back closer to the other humans. But he would still be lost; what if this human froze to death? Ranboo would feel terrible!
They couldn't just leave the human lost and frozen. However, they knew a dragon would be a frightening sight for most humans. They risked scaring the poor guy if they tried to help.
If Ranboo could just remember a greeting in the human language, they would call out. But the words wouldn't come to their brain, and the humans was leaving their sight-
They stepped out of the cover of the trees.
Ranboo could tell when the human spotted them, because he froze. The loud, energetic human fell completely silent; Ranboo couldn't even hear him breathing.
And then, akin to a startled deer, the human ran.
Ranboo cursed under their breath, then gave chase. At least the human had run farther into their territory. Ranboo knew the land as well as they knew their own tail. They would catch the human easily; they just worried they'd scare him to death in the process.
It took longer than it should have to catch up to the human. Ranboo blamed the cold; the weather made their scales feel heavy and their limbs grow weary. They didn't catch up until the human was at the edge of the river, tentatively stepping onto the ice.
Ranboo's heart skipped a beat. The river had frozen over, yes, but it was a thin layer of ice. It wouldn't hold a human's weight. The human seemed to realize that, and had slowed his escape.
Unfortunately, Ranboo's appearance scared the human enough that he threw caution to the wind. They reached the river's edge just as the human tried to bolt across.
Crack.
The ice gave way beneath the human's feet and he plummeted into the river.
Ranboo shoved their head into the water. They took hold of the human's red jacket with their teeth, hauling him out before he could be swept away.
The shock of the cold water kept the human from struggling until Ranboo slowly pulled him closer. Then, he seemed to realize he was caught and began to struggle in Ranboo's hold.
Calming human words came to their mind, but with their mouth full, Ranboo couldn't say them. Instead they churred, hoping the noise would be soothing to humans as well as hatchlings.
It didn't seem to make a difference. The human still struggled, panicked expletives falling from his mouth.
"L-Let m-me go you motherfucker!" The human shouted at them.
They weren't sure if the tremble in his voice was from the cold or the fear. Either way, Ranboo's own panic was growing. The human was soaking wet, and frigid against their scales. It was a long walk to their lair; the human would likely freeze to death unless Ranboo did something.
There were many things Ranboo could blame for what happened next: the cold and their own panic making it hard to think, a lack of a better option, or even the way the human's size reminded them of a hatchling. The real reason Ranboo did what they did was simply because they forgot how a human would react.
They tilted their head back and opened their mouth, letting the human fall inside. His struggling doubled, and his yells became indecipherable in his panic.
Before the human could hurt himself on their teeth, Ranboo swallowed.
The human landed in their nesting pouch, fitting just as easily as a young dragon might. Ranboo almost didn't register what they'd done- and then the human started to scream.
"I'm so sorry!" They gasped out as soon as they remembered the right words. "I didn't mean to scare you- I panicked!"
This was apparently enough to shock the human into silence.
"Wh-what?" He asked shakily, voice slightly muffled from the pouch. "Y-you fucking- you can speak- you a-ate me?!"
"You're safe!" Ranboo blurted. To their surprise, they could actually feel the way the human's heartbeat slowed from its frantic pace.
"I'm not going to hurt you, I promise," they continued, the words coming to mind faster than they even realized they could. "You were just so cold, and I thought you were going to run off and freeze, and I panicked."
"S-so you… ate me?"
"You're safe," Ranboo repeated, letting out another chur that they hoped was calming. "Dragon hatchlings do this all the time."
"Humans don't," their passenger grumbled.
To Ranboo's relief, his heartbeat finally slowed down to what they thought might be a normal level. His breathing had slowed some as well.
Now that the humans wasn't panicking, Ranboo started to walk. They tried to move quickly, wanting to get back to the lair, but they were careful not to jostle the human too much.
"I'm Ranboo, by the way," they said. They really needed to have a name other than 'the human.'
"Tommy," said the human. "Where the fuck are you taking me?"
"My lair- um, that's my home."
"Why?" Tommy's pulse was speeding up again, the dragon realized.
"It's much warmer in my lair. And, uh, I can build a fire so you can dry off," Ranboo explained quickly. "Then I can take you to the edge of the forest. I might have some cloaks so you won't be as cold? Or you can stay until the snow stops."
"...Just until the snow stops?" asked Tommy.
Ranboo realized he was still nervous. They understood; humans were quite small, and it would be easy to hurt one. On top of that, Tommy was sort of stuck. He couldn't get out on his own, so he had to trust that Ranboo would keep their word and not hurt him.
"Just until the snow stops," they promised.
"Ok," Tommy said quietly.
And then, with no more protests, he relaxed against their pouch. Incredibly aware of the human they were carrying, and honored by the trust Tommy was placing in them, the dragon continued their journey home.
