I lost my Mom (right) in February and now my Aunt Cathie (left) last weekend. I feel like my universe is off kilter without these two. The two people in the world who loved me unconditionally, who listened to all my bullshit, who made me laugh endlessly and who loved Hayley as fiercely as I do… gone four months apart. I’m so lucky to have had them for 50 years - and Hayley to have them for 23. But I’m selfish and I wanted them here longer. And to lose them both so close together… brutal. I catch myself every day wanting to tell her something then it hits me like a ton of bricks my Mom is gone. It’s crazy to say but I can’t believe she doesn’t know Roy isn’t UNC’s head coach anymore. I can’t believe she won’t see Hayley graduate in a little over a week.
