God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.’ So God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female.” Genesis 1:26-27 CSB He created us in His image, which means that we are also triune beings: body, soul (mind, will, and emotions,) and spirit. I took a class at my church on wholeness, and one week, we discussed how the spirit-man is God conscious, the soul is self conscious, and the body is world conscious. Before the fall, the spirit-man lead the soul, which lead the body. Before sin, we communed with God. We walked with Him. The leader of the class defined death as “termination of communication with the environment.” When Adam and Eve sinned, the spirit-man died. Then it became the body leading the soul, which leads the spirit. We no longer were able to commune and walk with God as we once had. It’s all God ever wanted, was to be a family and live in relationship, but He gave us free will so that we could choose to love Him back. Forced love is not love. But because God is holy, He cannot abide with sin. That is why Jesus Christ, fully God, fully man, came to live a perfect, sinless life, became the sacrificial Lamb and died on the cross that we so deserved. He died that so that the spirit-man would live again and be back at the helm. We are now able to live life with the three parts of us in agreement. So that is my goal: to help bring your spirit, soul, and body into agreement and alignment. As we do that, you’ll begin to experience peace and joy that is beyond understanding.
