♥️ The ‘m’ to my ‘& m’ -get it..? 👀 On this day, 24 years ago, my B.F.F. was born, which means we’ve known each other for pretty much half our lives now… It’s safe to say that I cannot begin to imagine the rest of my life without her in it~ In celebration of her existence, I gathered just a few of my favorite photographs + videos out of so many other memorable moments we’ve shared in these past 12 (going on 13) years: I. ”Undercovered”; a painting I did of her during our senior year of high school, in which she stars in a film noir. | II. A decade ago, during my Birthday at an arcade/pizza joint… This is one of my favorite photos of her. 😭💙 *In Patrick Star’s Voice* “LOOK AT IT!!!” | III. One of our many casino adventures, never to go gambling (for obvious reasons) but to hang out at the bowling alleys/arcades/movies/restaurants/skating rinks/concerts/etc. that luckily existed in these strange adult/tourist-catered buildings. 🎰 | IV. A few years later & we’re now those adults/tourists, although instead of the usual routine we decided on this particular day to go on our annual (yet unplanned) hiking trip - this was also our 1st time at Mount Charleston together. | V. Exactly 6 years ago today, a group of friends & I hosted our Senior Graduation #ArtShow at the #LasVegasAcademy. This is a photo of my #gallery space, taken the night before opening day~ 💫
For 4 years, I remember the endless nights I would spend working on these pieces, reworking areas here & adding details there, until they looked just as I imagined in my head… Which would be the end result 9 times out of 10, if I’m being completely (dis)honest. ☠️ Regardless, it was a blessing to be able to display them all together &, if only for a moment, share them with my friends & family. From the floor of my bedroom to the walls of the #LowdenGallery, I’m proud of every piece I created then &, looking back now, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Since that day, I have moved on to learn & create in many more mediums, all while working on several different projects. This includes my Thesis &, although currently in the midst of production, a playable demo is set to release in May. It is a video game based around a group of characters, whose stories I’ve been developing for nearly 8 years now… & I can’t wait for you guys to finally meet them. 🖤🎶 #MMXIII-#MMXIX #MyYear [ P.S. #Ø = #SymbolForNothing | The 1st album to kick off the many other 10th (of this year) marks of my life is the inextinguishable #XØ~ [Advice to any listeners: Stay aware of the art you consume & always be mindful of your own boundaries. If you are currently struggling mentally or emotionally, please seek professional help &/or talk to someone you trust.] XØ is not for everyone. I say this, even as somebody who holds no shame over any of the music I listen to, but as far as personal battles go I would not recommend this particular album to just anybody. It’s this noise some have passed off as simply that, while others have feared it & the rest have written it off as a means to provoke negative ideas, such as hate towards others or even oneself… This couldn’t be more untrue. To quote the band’s lyricist of this album (@frankieromustdie): “No one is born with hate in their heart. Hate is something that has been taught, it is not an innate survival skill that we need. It is a form of stupidity that penetrates our minds & will eventually destroy us.” In fact, XØ has been there for me from the beginning of its existence ‘til now & has only impacted my life in a way only it alone could - it helped me face evil & defeat it, time & time again. For a whole decade, it was there as I went through issues regarding my emotional & mental health, pulling me through many of my depressive episodes. But the one thing it did that nothing else ever could - it got me over that unnecessary anger & hate I couldn’t help but hold onto, while it seemed like nobody else understood or even cared. However, after 10 brutal years, I believe I no longer need this means of coping, this part of my life. It’s about time I put those troubled thoughts to rest after all. To XØ - I know you are an unkillable force, so for now this is “goodnight”. & I’m sure you’ll be there if I’m ever down once more, but for now I hope I never need to turn to you in such a way as I have, countless times, ever again. “Don’t worry ol’ girl, dry the tears from your eyes. 🛋 “#BRCKHMPTN” | Before this chapter ends, I just wanted to say that seeing these guys perform live for the 1st time (on the 1st of December) in the always stunning San Diego was… Possibly the best way to end this year of #MMXVIII AKA the appropriately declared #20gayteen~ ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 The group hasn’t been around for too long, yet within the past 3 years they’ve already released a debut, a trilogy, their latest #Iridescence (which is, as speculated, Part I of #TheBestYearsOfOurLives?) among other projects, all of which has collectively reached out to many teens/young adults who might’ve felt lost, alone &/or have struggled/are currently struggling to find their purposes in life -basically anybody who has ever felt like an outcast for simply being who you they are- during this political/social climate, & in that sense, their music has reminded us that we are not alone in the long-running fight to be understood & accepted. They’ve been described as the following: “#Gay, #black, #white, #DIY, #ambitious, #allinclusive, & #wouldbepopstars” (courtesy of @complex). I’ll go as far as to say each & every member in their own unique way has become a #rolemodel for me, both as an artist & person, in the few years they’ve existed, having redefined this idea of staying #independent & (for a hip hop collective) #punkrock. 💛❤️🖤 #HappyBirthdayMickey / #Happy90thAnniversary #SteamboatWillie! 🖤❤️💛 - 3 months ago, for the 1st time ever, my B.F.F. & I got go to the #MagicalKingdom together &- Well. Let’s be honest, it was a pretty bizarre trip!! Not to say that it wasn’t fun (in fact, it was the best day I’ve ever spent at #Disneyland), however, there is no denying that it wasn’t the smoothest… To summarize, we managed to go on several rides that either a. broke down while we were on them, b. broke down right before we got on or c. broke down as it was coming to an end?! So without further ado (& with thanks to @michelleee_413 for having a much better memory than me), here are the 5 Rides That Almost Killed Us™: 1. “#RadiatorSpringsRacers” (stopped right before launch; I held this giant umbrella over us, & this lady who we shared the car with, for a good 10-15 minutes - I’m pretty buff, you guys 💪🏽💀🔥), 2. “#MonstersIncMikeAndSullyToTheRescue” (broke down as we were in the middle of the line, so we couldn’t leave even if we wanted to - extra 15-20 minute wait), 3. “#SplashMountain” (got stuck inside with all the ‘animaltronics’ [👀]; also got bumped into the log in front of us by the log behind us - what is this, bumper logs?!) 4. “#BigThunderMountain” (stopped working right when we were about to get on; ended up getting “faster passes” incase we wanted to come back later… we did, it was actually great) & last but not least- 5. “#IndianaJonesAdventure” (stopped working right after the boulder roll… It’s safe to say we decided that this was gonna be our last ride…. /of the night/- We didn’t die!!) …So basically, we broke all of the rides??? I guess they just couldn’t handle us. The B.F.F. says, “Good times, good times 😊”..! All in all, I couldn’t be more blessed than to have been able to go to (& SURVIVE) #PixarFest with my B.F.F.~ xø
#NumberFive AKA #TheBoy here, wishing you a Happy #Halloween #MMXVIII from my adoptive siblings & I of the #UmbrellaAcademy~ ☂️⏱🎡☕️🎼🎻🎶🐵⚰️🧐🌂🦌🐶🥠🍦⏳🌎🖤💜💙🧡💛✨ - A decade ago, I read this comic book, “#ApocalypseSuite”, that would be my reintroduction to the world of graphic novels. “#Dallas”, it’s sequel, would become my favorite, setting the bar for the much anticipated “#HotelOblivion”. Here we are 10 years later & not only is the story back in comic shops, but now the world of UA is a live-action TV series (premiering in February on Netflix)! UA has stuck with me throughout my teenage years & into my early adulthood, with #00.05 maybe having become my favorite comic book character of all time, possibly surpassing Batman. *Minor Spoilers Below* There is a richness to The Boy, who had rebelled against his adoptive father The Monocle (aka Sir Reginald Hargreeves) by running away from home at 10-years-old &, with his giftedness, time traveling 50 years into the future. At first, he would enjoy his time alone, but eventually would regret this decision due to the fact that the world he had left behind was inevitably doomed (as per the conditions of where the future currently resided). With this, he decides to use his giftedness again by mathematically figuring out a way back for the next 50 years, only to be told by an upper half-body of a mannequin (name Dolores), lying in the rubble, that he had messed up the equation 12 years ago, finally solving the solution & returning to the present, only to end up back in his 10-year-old self’s body at 60-years-old, in order to save not only the whole world but his now 30-year-old adoptive siblings from ‘the finale’… Also, he likes his coffee black, is a self-proclaimed “gazelle”, enjoys fortune cookies, free ice cream & has a puppy named Mr. Pennycrumb! 🐾 *End of Spoilers* Special thanks to @buddha_for_lulu for the patch - a rare find that I happened to come across on her Depop by coincidence..! 💫 [ Original character by @gerardway & @gabriel_ba; thank you for these stories &, as requested, here is my contribution to #UAHalloween. 👻🧡 ] (at California Institute of the Arts)

So y’know how there’s that one musician that’s made a real impact over your life &, just by listening to them, lets you forget for a bit that you were even going through a tough time..? That’s what James Dewees has done for me.
I had seen Dewees play live once before, 7 years ago, during his time as keyboardist for MCR. So when I found out that he was playing in Vegas this year w/ @sensesfailofficial… I just knew I had to see him perform solo, as RATFE, for the first time..! On March 31st, my friends tagged along with me to see the last show of the tour. We were lounging around in the back, listening to the first 2 openers (@householdmpls & @havemercymd), waiting for James’ set to start. We then decided to check out the merch table, which to our surprise is where he happened to be… Dare I say- Legend?!?!!
I wanted to thank you, James, for the smiles, laughs, trusting me with a secret (of which I promise to keep… y’know, all through the month of May *wink*) &, in just under 10 minutes, helping me get through yet another tough time in my life.
Here’s to 20 more years of making music (or until you turn 50 & survive your self-predicted, mid-performance “death”, as you will be revived by the music Gods themselves) & giving others who may need a bit of hope to hold onto.

Happy One Year Anniversary to a TV program that has already made history & will undoubtably continue to do so~
‘Andi Mack’ is not only well-casted/written/produced/directed, but has so far dealt with a multitude of topics surrounding youth (such as identity & mental health) which has become prevalent (yet still has not been fully accepted in today’s society), as it provides an opportunity for kids to familiarize themselves with these topics before they pass the all too normalized confusion during adolescence; so although some confusion is inevitable, the growing population of youth finding themselves questioning their identity or psychology should no longer have to feel ashamed.
Furthermore, this show brings both a realistic & positive aspect to the normally ‘serious’ subject matters that a lot of shows/films to this day have missed the mark on with representation for far too long. So if you or anybody you know may be in need of that type of representation, this show could use all the support it can get, as it not only lets the younger but also older generations of varying identities (especially those who may feel alone) know one thing:
They’re no different.

@Pixar’s #Coco premiered 2 months ago & traditionally (to support the wonderful creators) I went & saw it in theaters 3 times… It’s safe to say that it has made my top 5 in favorite Pixar films [ & #1 for @michelleee_413 ]~ Here’s what the film meant to her: “Given the times we’re living in right now I think it’s important for people to understand that my culture, my people, are multidimensional and while sometimes we do fit into stereotypes (can I get an amen from my fellow hot-headed Latin@s?!), that’s not the full story, that there’s so much more to Mexican traditions and ways that people could know, and the exposition in such a respectful way by a beloved company meant everything to me. Movie is flawless and absolute perfection, 10/10.” So although we were unable to actually watch Coco together, Pixar has once again brought us closer as film / story enthusiasts, along with our shared love of a work that has brought into light one very important message during our adulthood, of our generation & for the ones to follow: #RepresentationMatters 🎼❤️💛💗💙🎶 [[P.S.
