Fashion hasn't really changed since like 1970s. They wore jeans and tshirts then and we wear jeans and tshirts now. I'm sure you can find many examples of how this is not the case but it's all the same stuff styled differently.

This came to mind when someone was comparing styles and asked are your outfits dated?

As you can see she presents the solution on the right. However the one on the left is not that dated and could still be worn today without anyone batting an eye. In fact the two "outfits" are not even different. You could easily find all items in your closet without buying anything new. This sorta styling on tiktok and insta is a trend so no hate of course. It shows that people assume things have changed when they haven't.

80s and 90s both had the chunky sweater paired with tights, it was just styled differently or was brighter/more colourful. 2010s you had the pumpkin spice princess with her oversized sweater and leggings. Nothing new, just recycled.

Can we talk about how natural well made materials are not affordable but plastic or synthetic stuff is. The standards for the average person are so low. You have clothes stop complaining. Your house is falling apart but at least you have a roof. You're actually so blessed you just don't know it. If you complain you're selfish and ungrateful. In reality there was a time when everyone had a wool coat and it didn't cost them $50 to get it.
