Do you find it hard to pay attention? Do you feel the need to move constantly during times when you shouldn’t? Do you find yourself constantly interrupting others? If these issues are ongoing and you feel that they are negatively impacting your daily life, it could be a sign of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). ADHD is a disorder that makes it difficult for a person to pay attention and control impulsive behaviors. He or she may also be restless and almost constantly active. There is a mistaken belief that people with ADHD are too unfocused to achieve or accomplish anything. Usually ADHD sufferers are unable to control their impulsive actions, but not in all cases. People with ADHD will dedicate themselves to something they’re fanatical about, and excel. In cases like these, ADHD can actually be considered more of an advantage than a weakness.
On my previous presentation, I relied on the use of PowerPoint as my visual aid and overall guide of report. This time, however, I decided to go on another route and do the same topic but in a different reporting style, a video. I have observed that making a PowerPoint was easier and more simple. It didn’t require a lot of heavy lifting and could simply but elegantly display information efficiently to the audience. When I compare the use of video, I got different but slightly similar results. While the end product seemed to have the same efficiency, making a video was a lot more challenging. It required skills and creativity, lots of creativity and it definitely takes a lot more time and effort. Despite this, I was very pleased with the results I got.
