I started the day feeling sorry for myself because mind wanted to focus on things I do not have. After some meditation and reflection, I refocused my energy on things I do have and do enjoy: photography, outdoors, and time with myself. So I stepped outside with my camera and was greeted by a blue and cloudy sky, which is my favorite type to photograph :-) The air smelled clean, the ground was wet, and it dawned on me that the fires must have certainly been impacted and more rain is on the way. I quickly began to appreciate the moment.. and shelter, food, family, friends, firefighters, and nature. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. And thank you to those who reminded me to appreciate the moment for what it is.
