The concept of “gender identity” seems incredibly offensive. It’s only used in relevance to trans people, and the way it’s used feels like the people are essentially saying “pseudo-gender.” Cis people aren’t ever referred to as a “gender identity,” it’s only in the sense of trans people. It feels like it’s reducing us to a place of falsehood. It’s a nod that we’re not our assigned genders, but it’s still denying us access to our actual genders.

A thought, rid your vocabulary of “identity” in terms of trans people. Trans people do not identify as anything, they simply are their gender.
