Meditation scripts are what people listen to and act as a guide for enhancing the experience.
Meditation scrips should be recorded in a tranquil tone of voice and are usually accompanied by gentle reposeful music. Sometimes this music may be in a certain key that can help open different chakras. Each of the seven chakras require music to be played at different tones to get them to pry open.
When meditation scripts are written and recorded they are known by the listener as tools of guided meditation. For beginners of meditation, it can be difficult to act out the activity in silence, and it is less effective to get in to a deep state of conscious awareness by just one’s own thoughts, so the purpose of guided meditation is to do exactly that – fall deeper in to a therapeutic and tranquil state.
Guided meditation can be found all over the internet. You can download apps on your smartphone like Headspace, which appears to be the most popular app available. However, there are plenty more and totally free to use, like Let’s Meditate.
It’s always a good idea to first understand what exactly it is that you are trying to achieve through meditation before you start a journey in to it. Personally, it was to develop more motivation in my every day life, I found after a while that I had more energy, and that I was happier in the mornings and full of life. I was happier, more approachable, and had more empathy towards others.
It is most effective when you are using earphones, and are in a relaxing environment, away from any possible distraction. You should attempt to focus only on the voice of the reader, and notice they’re calm soft tone of voice. Try to feel their soft tone resonate in to your ears, bouncing off your eardrums and echo through your soul, with every word healing it bit by bit.
There are different ways that these scripts can be written, and can often be categorized. Personal development comes in many different aspects of your own aspirations, you may feel that you don’t need much improvement in some areas of your character, so therefore may also feel that meditation is something that would be a waste of time, however there are an array of benefits that go with it.
Here is an example of three different guided meditations scripts
Third eye opening – This type of guided meditation can be easily searched on YouTube and can be useful for those trying to improve their level of awareness and intuition. Your third eye is more likely to open up if you eat less processed foods, drink filtered water, and make a dream journal.
Restful sleep – These sorts of scripts can often be visual. You may come across some where the reader will put you in to a room with a large staircase, and with every step you take down the staircase you feel your body getting lighter and lighter, and more and more tired. After a while, your brain waves will slow down, and you’ll start thinking less about whatever can prevent you from falling asleep quicker than you should be.
Body scan – A body scan is much like giving yourself a mental massage. It can be quite easy to do this without a recorded guide. The method is to inhale and exhale like with most kinds of meditation but for this, you breathe in and out whilst trying to feel or ‘scan’ your entire body from the tip of the toes to the crown of your head, this should be done slowly and gradually. After it is done, your body as well as your mind will feel more relaxed, and any aches or pains that you had will either be completely gone or will feel less noticeable.
