“that’s horrible.” calliope opened her mouth in shock, eyes meeting with the males face “how do you know they tried to break in?”

“I finally get to go back to work after my three month suspension. Long story. Anyways, I need to train my body to start waking up again at 3am. So, I need some ideas on things to do while I stay up all night to wear myself out, and get myself back on my normal sleep schedule. And go!”

“binge all the shows you need to catch up on? bake up a storm? clean your entire house?” calliope shrugged her shoulders

“Are you always kind of, like, anxious at these things? Like at any moment someone will need a doctor and you have to abandon your corn dog to help?”

“i can’t say i’ve really thought about it that way.” calliope laughed “but saving a life seems like a pretty reason to abandon my corn dog.”

calliopes’ eyes drifted over to the women he was talking about “fair enough.” she nodded “well at least we won’t come dead last.”

“doctor.” she responded “just doing my part, and enjoying the sunshine.”

“oh, i totally agree.” calliope nodded her head “sadly i’m only here to make sure nobody nearly kills themselves on a boat.”

as wednesday heard her sister speak outloud from her phone, the blonde gathered to look over her shoulder. “ooh father dearest? want me to call him and cuss him out? ”

“as fun as that sounds, i’m going to say no. thank you.” calliope laughed as she spoke “let him know we know his dirty little secret, and actually like each other?” she raised an eyebrow “it might just be about time to change my number. again.” she explained “plus, the last thing we want is him to know where i am. we don’t need a family reunion anytime soon.”

“i completely agree.” she nodded her head, slipping her phone back into her pocket “you can guarantee there’s innocent people out there who believe what they’re telling them.”

“Don’t I feel that” Anna mumbled to herself mostly, “you know what does make for good conversation?” Her attempt at changing the topic, “hot dogs. Are they considered to be a sandwich?”

“is a burger considered a sandwich?” calliope questioned in response “i’m pretty certain a hotdog is just that. a hotdog.”

“Golden retriever. She’s me service dog, but I decided to give her the day off.” He said as he pulled out his phone, pulling up a photo of Zariah laying on his bed.

a smile spread across calliopes lips as she looked at the photo of the dog. dogs had a way of melting her heart, she wasn’t completely cold hearted. “she’s absolutely precious.” calliope spoke “well hey, we all need a day off, even dogs.”

“you can hold off on being impressed with yourself then, huh?” she raised an eyebrow “it’s fine. he’ll get what’s coming to him eventually.”
