“i’m sort of banded from the hospital right now, so i don’t have much of anything going on. which turns out to be a blessing in disguise right? more fun for us.” amelia shrugged as she tried to sound as nonchalant as possible when revealing that tidbit of information. usually it got her stares and accusations. but ryan wasn’t the type to judge, at least not yet. which is something that only drew her closer to him. “i’m fine with whatever you want as long as you save room for dessert. and i’m not talking about ice cream.” she wasn’t even craving food at the moment, just this. pills and ryan. they could keep her high for days on end.
“What’d you do? I thought you were almost untouchable in that place?” He’d heard the Shepherd name be thrown around like royalty. At times, it annoyed him just how much leverage she seemed to have, but it was times like this that he realized even a last name wasn’t a complete saving grace. “For the record, I don’t even like ice cream,” he smirked, twice as eager to get her back to his place than he’d been moments earlier. “Need anything before we head out? Y’know, for later?” Once they were settled, neither would be in any shape to leave and he knew it.
