I managed to make a little comic and an illustration for one of my fav vsmp moments!
I'm very rusty with comics so this has been a struggle from start to finish but I'm proud I stayed strong and completed what I initially wanted to do. It was extremely challenging, especially when I deleted half my lineart accidentally and had to redo it from scratch sighhhh...
At first I wanted to keep the scene as close to canon as possible but then I realized that there's not much there to start with but the dialogues and somewhat the tone of them. So I just decided to interpret the characters and structures a bit on my own.
I did a lot of work on Apo internal thoughts for this comic, hopefully it comes through. I thought at first they're just disgusted by blood, then the instincts come in, then the panic, both to avoid launching on Legundo and cause they have zero plans on how to avoid converting the beacons.
For Cleo: initially I made her a bit more tender about the situation but then I thought she could have been a lot more indifferent, doncha know? After all Cleo and Apo already had some beef with each other, even just before this scene. The panel when Cleo says 'you can go turn that beacon' >>>>>>>>> they're sooo thinking Apo's an idiot and felt the need to intervene for Legundo's sake.
And Legundo is just annoyed. Annoyed at Apo for ignoring him, then annoyed that the vampires got yet another one. It's his vibe for all, he does wanna save people for sure but yk it's a whole lot of more work every time they turn another one. That's the life of the only doctor of the town. #overworked
basically: let's give Cleo revenge, Apo a warm hug and Legundo some rest.

🐑 What types of mediums are allowed?
Traditional art is allowed as long as you can scan, clean, and crop your art accordingly.
Photography (photos that you have taken) is okay as long as you are able to incorporate the project color into your final piece.

🐑 How will this project work?
Artists will just have to provide the art that fits the template.
Theme: The theme is Sleep (inspired by counting sheep) + Day and Night. We're asking artists for daytime and nighttime versions of their wallpapers.
Compositions can be the same but just colored differently (examples can be provided in the server)
Sleep does NOT have to be represented in both wallpapers, just in the set.
Project color: like always theres one SPECIFIC shade that everyone must use in all their wallpapers. How you use it is up to you.
Mod Lucy will ensure uniformity by adding credit names and exporting wallpapers to be the same size.
All the PNGs will be zipped and the wallpapers will be downloadable through itch.io
IMPORTANT: For this project you are required to draw sheep. Rams will also be allowed. For this project only animal sheep will count as sheep. Biped/animal crossing styled sheep will count as sheep. Humans with sheep features will not count.

I have very vivid dreams in which I see huge worlds and detailed designs, and sometimes I develop them into something more, sometimes I am compelled to draw them and do something more with them, and sometimes not. I drew designs for this ones only because my friends asked for Orange tiger and White tiger yaoi so I made refs for them XD
I doudt I will draw the rest of the talents from my dream or ever do anything with them, maybe upload this three to Artfight, because they are pretty and I like to see them bicker and kiss.

So! It was a world with postapocoliptic vibes, but like in a "we are healing now" way. So the crumbling building are a commin thing but we are slowly rebuilding and are free enough to have fun. People could get mutations in a way, that they would get an animal/creature, and then would be able to transform into that animal partially (mermaid/half turned werewolf style) and they permanently are stronger and more enduring and so on and can get some "magic" that way. It was mostly flying for short bursts of time, but can have additional or different powers. And I. Watched. As a big group of those. Were recruited to become a kpop group AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA It was literally "we are singing and saving the world on a weekends"
The group was SO BIG, it was 18 talents, like WHAT THE FUCK THAT IS SO MANY In this group there were:
beautiful jellyfish mermaid lady - she was all pinks and blues and a bit of purple and had a big big jelly hat as well, she would float around on a cloud of bubbles, she was so sweet and so so pretty
A unicorn lady - she had light green, and pink and yellow and light blue hair, had a horn (ofc), would fly around, also could create a whole carriage styled like a cupcake (with a lot of greens, she loves green color) with a pink silly cloud decorations
Orange dog guy /gen neutral. This silly person was short, very energetic, and very silly. Doggo. Probably like siba inu but like energy of a tiny dog. I think they were mostly fast and strong, could jumb very high, that type of stuff
RED ONI. That's it. (i do not remember the gender sorry)
BLUE ONI (yup, they go in pairs)
Orange tiger. Could fly
White tiger. That one was actually interesting, because his animal was actually a white dragon but he was like nahhhh people place too much attention onto dragons, I wanna pretend to be something less visible. So ye him and orange tiger pretended to be brothers. His abilities are flying, some additional magic and also he could transform and mimic others, so that's why everyone could think he was a white tiger.
White lion. THAT WAS ACTUALLY A TRANS PERSON!!! Because he when turining didn't get a mane, and looked like a female lion, but everyone was so respectful and it was so nice.
The Guy. So there was a simple guy who just was there, seemingly with no powers, but the thing is that he was ALSO a dragon, but he was also keeping it a secret, but in a way "no no I am a simple human, yes yes there are 17 very special people and they picked me a simple human to their team". I think at some point others learned about him being a dragon and were super supportive of him and were gently encouraging him to open up and eventually reveal this secret to the public.
It was especially important since their performance dance included a flying part, and to make look like he was flying they attached him to strings (you know filming style) and all of that. So the public knew he wasn't actually flying but the line of performers didn't look broken because he was on the ground
Uh so I remembered exactly the half of them, the rest are the blurr, I just remembered there were so many, because I remember their dance and how they all stand so when I woke up I was able to count them all, but DEMN that's a bit too many people for a band XD
Their dance teachers were two very buff Onis - red and blue as always, they come in pairs And their managers were a woman with short white hair and a man with black even shorter hair. They were simple humans
The whole dream started with a bridge colapsing, it was a type of bridge where the walk way was under the bridge, so some held the collapsing parts of the bridge, while others were saving people. Then I saw a glimpse of their house, which was a big rounded very whimsical structure made of of rubble AND their powers, so it was a mismatched thingy but very whimsical looking. Then I saw then having some fun around the city, then talking, that's how I learned about some secrets like the secret of the White Tiger and The Guy's secret And then they went to do the the rehearsal and then The Preformance
Additional lore about this tree specifically - this is a messy love traingle with White in the middle where Black and Orange fight for his attemntion and them messyly make out. They all are possessive uwu
and so i made poly yaoi for my friend cause i immediatly saw the potential of orange tiger and white tiger but also like? white tiger and normal guy could be peak. you know what could be even more peak? orange tiger and normal guy being possessive and fight but then making out 0.01 seconds later.
