i know your comms arent open, but when you open them are animations available to commission?

Hey! Thanks for asking about animation comms. So ive not been pushing them as much as I do illustration because, honestly, animation takes soo much longer and theyre just not as popular. It's alot more involved and commands a high price even for roughs. So I get very few animation comms and when I do I would have to shut off all other comms because otherwise ill get overwhelmed and itll just take even longer. I've made the mistake of balancing animation and illustration comms and Its just burns me out. So for me to open up animation comms the planets would need to align.

I'll need a completely clean slate of no comms and a client willing to invest in my work. Hence why Animation comms are closed for the time being.

I also think there should be a little more responsibility on the client to price up their project budget based on my prices before they approach me. I've been in contact with many people who just haven't thought through exactly what costs are involved when it comes to animation commissions. Thats another one of the reasons why ive closed anim comms.

Having said that, that doesn't mean I'm not willing to help you out and answer questions if something doesn't make sense if im DMed about a commission, I'm very patient and willing to help. I just dont want anyone going in blindly without knowing the costs as even seemingly small projects can run into $1k-3k or more. These are not to be taken lightly.

Sorry for the long essay-like answer but its something that needs addressing. If/when animation comms are open again, itll be a very limited run and I will absolutely make sure you all know about it. But please please please before I'm contacted about an anim comm make sure you have even a gist of what the costs are going to be for your project and then we'll be able to have a discussion.

EDIT: I should've mentioned that all the animated projects ive worked on have been amazing, some of the best clients ive worked with have employed my animation skills and I'm more than thankful for them. Hope thats clear 😊
