Henry Ye - "As a crossover designer active in big cities such as Shanghai and Beijing, he is constantly invited to participate in the cooperation and activities of numerous renowned brands. At the same time, he perseveres with pure art creation all along and develops a clear-cut character among the rising artists born in 1980s with his complex and beautiful linear art. Advocating the painting style of “linearism”, Henry gives rise to a frenzy of linear aesthetics among the young generation of art lovers cross the world." http://www.illustrationweb.com/artists/HenryYe/profile
"His curiosity about people’s faces brought Shoey Nam to produce his series ‘Loved and Labored’, where every face can tell a story on its own. To illustrate this he chooses a set of literature figures, as writers have the tendency to carry a certain haggardness and cynicism of the world on their faces. Trying to depicted the figures mannerisms he formed lines, traces and marks on their faces that suggest their habitual face expressions. Shoey Nam is a graphic designer and illustrator living in London." http://www.ignant.de/2012/08/17/loved-and-labored/
'By the use of embroidery and knitting in her work Ana Teresa Barboza yearns to create a parallel between the process of manual crafts and creating and natures process. She contrasts the two, by creating structure with yarn which resemble the threads of a plant and similar structures. The knitting in her work brings her closer to nature and by taking us by the hand and showing us her world, she provides us the chance to see structures from a different point of view. Barboza’s artistic proposal consists of intervening the natural weaves, transforming it while respecting its natural course, and bringing the value of manual craft back to life.' http://www.ignant.de/2013/09/03/ana-teresa-barboza/
