MEGARUNE - Chapter 1 Conversations

Note - For each major area, instead of drawing the individual encounters, I'm just doing a summative recap of the area, while also doing storytelling.

Without further ado, we left off as our three Starters left for the Fields of Ruby and Sapphire. Fraxure went off ahead with Pawnard, while Scovillian and Meowth are trying to find them.

(Fraxure = Susie, Pawnward = Lancer, Scovillian = Ralsei, Meowth = Kris. Oh yeah this is a Deltarune AU)

Scovillian: I bet you have a lot of questions, Meowth... I know I didn't have the best introduction to the land of DARKness...

Meowth: 🪙[It's fine] | [I miss Fraxure]

(NOTE: This is a choice box. The coin replaces the SOUL)

Scovillian: The Fields of Ruby and Sapphire... beautiful, are they not? Beyond here lies the Forest, and then... the Castle.

Scovillian: That's where you get home! You just seal the fountain, and you're off on your merry way!

Meowth: [Don't care, Nerd] | 🪙[Fountains?]

Scovillian: Did... did I not tell you about Mega Fountains?

Scovillian: They are the font of power that creates the land around you! Usually, only the grand fountain flows, but now there's this fountain...

Scovillian: But be warned, it won't be easy to seal this fountain. The KING protects the fountain. He used to be one of many leaders of this land, but he killed all of them, and took the throne for himself.

Scovillian: The jester lived, though.

...

Scovillian: Hey, Meowth? What do you think Fraxure's doing right now? I'm worried about her... She really liked the idea of being a villian.

Scovillian: Why don't we just... close our eyes? And think about what she's doing?

Meowth: 🪙[Close Eyes] | [I just want to look at you]

Meanwhile:

Fraxure: So, your dad's the king of this place?

Pawnard: Yep! King-Dad killed the other leaders, and became supreme leader!

Fraxure: Huh... so that makes you the prince?

Pawnard: Uhm... kind of? I have about 32 other siblings... Bisharp's technically the prince.

Fraxure: Oh. So, like, where's the other 30... pawnards?

Pawnard: Probably at the castle. They're always on guard duty. I'm the only scout, because I'm "expandable"! Whatever that means!

Fraxure: (Did he mean to say "Expendable"?)

Fraxure: That's sick, dude. I love being expandable as well.

Pawnard: Heehee! We villains are all expandable!

...

Fraxure: So, if I meet your dad, could I, like, join his army or something?

Pawnard: Oh! Probably? King-Dad has a huge army already, though.

Fraxure: Oh, damn. That sucks.

Pawnard: ...But I can certainly ask! I bet if you beat up Bisharp you would be accepted!

Fraxure: Sweet.

Pawnard: Maybe... it's best if you don't meet King-Dad, though. He doesn't like outsiders.

Fraxure: Man, don't worry! I bet he'll love me! I look badass and can kick ass, that's two times more ass than Meowth could ever dream of having!

MEGARUNE - My Gym Town + Fields of Sapphire and Ruby intro

Decided that this is worth continuing!

I've decided to skip over all light world stuff until chapter 4, as y'know, a lot of chapter 4 is in the light world.

I'll probably give some exposition for each scene, as I've seen other AU's do. Otherwise most of this can be someone's headcanon.

*A hooded creature stands in front of a large Gym. Two stubby green feet poke out of the hood.

Scovillian: "Welcome, ...Starters!

I am the Prince of this kingdom... the KINGDOM OF DARKness.

Meowth, Fraxure...

There is a LEGEND in this land.

A LEGEND that one day, two CHOSEN STARTERS will arrive.

And fulfill the ancient myth, foretold by time and space."

*One myth later* (You may see this later, we'll see)

Pawnard: "Hee hee hee! The starters are already running away! I bet you had to use a PokeDoll!"

Fraxure: "Who the hell are you??"

Pawnard: "Me? I'm the... VILLIAN!! Hee hee hee, dad's gonna make me grunt of the month!"

(VS PAWNARD - Replaces Vs Lancer)

*Some time after, outside the great door*

Scovillian: Meowth? Once we pass through this door... Our adventure will really begin. A journey foretold exactly as the myth states. But Meowth, I believe YOUR choices matter, too. This world is full of all kinds of Pokemon. In the end, how we treat them, makes all the difference. So let's try our best to get by without FIGHTing. If we can manage to do that... I believe this tale may have a happy ending.

MEGARUNE - an Introduction?

Essentially I was talking to my brother about Deltarune AU's, and he mentioned PokeRune, which actually looked pretty cool, but I disagreed of some of the picks, so here I am, making my own (pretty bad) art for my take on a Pokemon Deltarune AU - Megarune

The PROPHECY -- Choose the COIN, the MACE, or the PRINCE as your starter.

(Be warned my art aint the best. Doing this out of passion and learning as we go ya feel. +All the art looks small here, when we get to some of the battle mockups I've made, stuff will be larger. If u zoom in 200% on browser you get a decent look at stuff lol)

Meowth (Replaces Kris) - I have this idea that all the Lightners get different clothes while in the dark world, while darkners just look like normal pokemon. The coin replaces the Soul in this case. I chose Meowth for two reasons, firstly the idea of using alolan meowth to represent how kris turns blue in the dark world is really cool, plus this becoming team rocket's meowth in the dark world to signify that they can talk (but in this case it isn't meowth talking, it's the Coin)

Fraxure (Replaces Susie) - Pretty self explanatory. Axe pokemon becomes the axe of justice. I used the ace trainers from gen 4, the ones in the snow, for her dark world design. Mostly because they use dragon types? Idk, looked cool to me.

Scovillian (Replaces Ralsei) - This one I find really fun! It leans into the fire powers of Ralsei, and how he hides a lot of his real self. His red face is the one that knows the end of the prophecy, while the green one is the front that loves all his friends. Lovely stuff.

Deerling (Replaces Noelle) - Another simple one, really. Deer turns to deer. Becomes spring form in the dark world. I couldn't really think of a trainer for her to cosplay as in the dark world lol.

Dartrix (Replaces Berdly) - His design was super fun to me actually! His light world looks goofy, but whatever. He wears winona's outfit in the dark world. (Hope he's okay after that moonblast though...)

...I have a lot more designs and battle mockups to show off actually, but this is kinda to test the waters to see if this is worth posting about. I don't have any composing experience, but it could be really fun to make some songs (or just mix pokemon and deltarune songs together?) for this project.
